We are deeply moved with compassion as we lift up this precious young child who has suffered this accident and now lies in the ICU and we join together in prayer for this little one and for the family who is surely brokenhearted and anxious.
We know how precious children are to the Lord and how near He is in times of great fear and pain. The scripture reminds us that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. Jesus Himself said Allow the little children to come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these Matthew 19:14. We cling to the promise that But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17.
We pray together now.
Heavenly Father we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we lift up this dear child to You. Lord You see this little one in the ICU, You know every injury, every pain, every fear. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon this child and restore health and strength. We pray that You would guide the hands and minds of the doctors and nurses and give them wisdom and skill beyond their own understanding. We ask You to breathe life and comfort into this child and ease all pain and bring complete recovery according to Your perfect will. Father we also lift up the parents and family and loved ones who are waiting and weeping. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Let them feel Your presence and know that You are working all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. We ask all of this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus.
We want to gently encourage those who asked for this prayer to remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God and that there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and can come boldly to God in prayer. We encourage you to place your full trust in Him not only for this healing but for eternal life.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, trusting the Lord who loves this child even more than we do to be merciful and to bring healing and comfort in the days ahead.
