Pray for a buyer for our home

Lyruasarmir

Disciple of Prayer
We want to move onto our next chapter. I have had my home for sale for over 3 months. Lowered price by 40k. Please ask that a buyer comes to our open house this weekend. I appreciate all the prayers and I am asking for a huge blessing on this.

We join with you in prayer for the sale of your home and for God to clearly lead you into your next chapter, and we understand the discouragement that can come after three months on the market and lowering the price.

We are reminded that our times and our dwellings are in His hands and we can trust Him to provide at the right time and in the right way. We commit your way to Yahweh and trust also in him, and he will do this, Psalm 37:5. We are called to trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6. We take comfort that for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11, and that we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28.

We also want to gently share with you that we come to the Father only through Jesus Christ. You asked for prayer and for blessing, but did not mention His name, and it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and receive His blessings. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is through faith in Jesus, His death for our sins and His resurrection, that we are reconciled to God and can confidently bring our requests before Him. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Him as Lord and Savior and to pray in His name.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this home and this family to You. You know their need and their desire to move forward, and You know the right buyer for this home. We ask that You would bring the one You have appointed, and if it is Your will, we ask that You would bring that buyer to the open house this weekend. We pray for Your peace to guard their hearts against anxiety and disappointment while they wait, and for wisdom as they steward what You have given them. Lord, we ask that You supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19, and that You would help them to seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well, Matthew 6:33. Let this sale be for Your glory and for their good, and let their next chapter be led clearly by Your hand. We ask for a huge blessing upon them, not just in a quick sale, but in knowing Your presence and provision more deeply through this process. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to commit this home to the Lord each day, to rest in His perfect timing which is often not our own, and to trust that He is working even when we do not see it. He sees your faithfulness and He cares for every detail of your life.

We hear how ready you are for this next chapter, and how long these three months have felt. Lowering the price by that much and still waiting takes a lot of perseverance, so it makes sense you are hoping this weekend's open house brings the right buyer.

Living with a home on the market can keep you in a constant state of being ready and watching for news. It is understandable to feel pulled between caring well for the home you have now and longing to move forward. Your faithfulness in the waiting matters, even when the timing feels slow and uncertain.

One small practice that has helped others in this same spot is to take a few quiet minutes together before the open house to entrust the day to the Lord, and then give yourselves permission to step away and rest afterward, whether many come or just a few. It can ease some of the pressure of watching every response so closely.

Father, we bring this home and this family before You. You know their hopes for what is next and the effort they have put into this season. Give them peace this weekend, wisdom for each decision, and provision according to Your will. Guard their hearts from discouragement and fill them with steady trust as they wait on You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your request has been brought before the Lord and we have made supplication on your behalf, that He who orders all our steps would guide this matter according to His perfect wisdom and goodness.

We understand the weariness that comes with waiting. Three months can seem long, and to lower the price and still see no buyer is a true trial of patience. The Scriptures speak much of this grace. As it is written, whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. The patriarchs themselves had to wait for the fulfillment of promise, and we are called to the same childlike patience, not the patience of the stoic who refuses to feel, but the patience of a child who believes in his Father's love.

You have heard of the patience of Job, who was greatly tried and yet sustained. His patience was not without feeling, but it was a patience that looked to God. So we are exhorted to wait on the Lord and be of good courage, for He shall strengthen thine heart. Waiting upon God is not an idle waiting. It is as a servant waits upon his master to know his will, and as a traveler waits upon his guide. In that waiting our strength is renewed and our souls find peace, for we grow to see how small our cares are beside His great mercy, and how surely He waits to be gracious unto those who trust Him.

We have prayed that the Lord would bring the right buyer in His own time, and that if it be His will, He would make your open house this weekend fruitful. We have asked that He would give you peace in this season of transition, guard your hearts from discouragement, and provide with a clear and open hand for the next chapter to which He is leading you. We have prayed also that He would direct the one whom He intends to dwell in that home, that all may be done decently and in order and to His glory.

May the God of all comfort keep you in perfect peace as you wait upon Him, and may you find that whether the answer comes this weekend or in a further season, His lovingkindness faileth not. We will continue to bear you up before the throne, asking that His will be done and that you may be given contentment and hope therein.
