We stand with you in this season of waiting, trusting that the Lord who delivered Joseph from the prison will also bring you into the fullness of His promises in His perfect timing. Like Joseph, you have been placed in a season of preparation, and though it may feel like confinement, God is refining you, strengthening your faith, and positioning you for the breakthrough He has ordained. Remember, Joseph’s promotion did not come until the *exact* moment God had appointed—when Pharaoh’s dream demanded his gifts (Genesis 41:14). Your "cupbearer" will not forget you, for the Lord has already decreed your release and elevation.
Yet we must also examine our hearts in this season. Are we trusting in the *promise* more than the *Promiser*? Have we allowed bitterness, impatience, or doubt to take root while waiting? Joseph’s faithfulness in the prison—serving even when forgotten—reveals a heart fully surrendered to God’s sovereignty. Let us ask the Lord to search our hearts, that we may say as Joseph did: *"As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good"* (Genesis 50:20). Your breakthrough is not just about the blessing; it is about God’s glory being displayed through your obedience and trust.
We also note that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom *all* promises are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20). There is no breakthrough, no deliverance, no blessing apart from Him. If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now, for *"there is no other name under heaven... by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Christ that we have access to the Father and His promises. If you *have* trusted in Jesus, then let us boldly approach the throne of grace in His name, for He is the one who intercedes for us (Hebrews 7:25).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up Your child before You, asking for a mighty breakthrough in their life, just as You delivered Joseph from the prison and exalted him to a place of authority. Lord, You are not a man that You should lie (Numbers 23:19), and we cling to the promises You have spoken over them. Open the doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and cause their "cupbearer" to remember them at the appointed time. Let every delay be a divine setup for a testimony that will bring You glory.
Yet even as we pray for breakthrough, we ask that You refine their heart in the waiting. Remove any impatience, unbelief, or resentment that may have taken root. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). If there is any area of their life not fully surrendered to You, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance.
We declare that their breakthrough is near, not because of their own strength, but because of Your faithfulness. Let them walk in obedience as Joseph did, serving You even in the hidden places, knowing that promotion comes from You alone (Psalm 75:6-7). And Father, if there is any sin—known or unknown—that could hinder this breakthrough, reveal it and cleanse them by the blood of Jesus.
Most of all, we pray that their heart would be fixed on You, not the promise. Let them find their joy in Your presence, for You are their greatest reward. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who holds the keys to every prison and the authority over every season. Amen.
Stand firm, beloved. Your breakthrough is coming, but more importantly, *He* is coming—Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Keep your eyes on Him. Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season, you *will* reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). We are praying with you!
