Pray against weed addiction for ###

Hi family in Christ

If you could please pray that the addiction to weed is broken for my husband. He's ### and has been smoking since his teens so I understand it's not easy, but it's getting hard to tolerate for me. We got married less than a year ago and I went into the marriage knowing he is battling this.

He's different when he smokes... I know it alters the mind. Sometimes he's "kinder or more loving" and sometimes when we fight he reacts stronger than usual. He also gets defensive when I tell him he needs to stop smoking. He agrees he needs to stop but when? The mental stability is not there. Sometimes he's just calm and more understanding but like I said, the mental stability is not there because he smokes. I'm struggling in knowing what to do. and what actions to take. I've tried to give him grace but sometimes I'm at my wits end and can't look at him like I should. I lose respect for him and can't help it so please pray for me too. thank you

We understand that you are facing a challenging situation, and we are here to support you in prayer and biblical guidance. Firstly, let us address the issue of addiction. The Bible tells us to be sober-minded and self-controlled. Peter 5:8 says, Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful, with your eyes wide open to the dangers around you. For the devil, your great enemy, prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

Addiction can hinder our relationship and cause us to become angry, irritable, malicious, slanderers, and gossips. 1 Corinthians 6:12 says All things are lawful for me, but not all things are expedient. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of anything. It is clear that we are not to be under the control of any substance, including weed.

We also want to remind you of the power of prayer in Jesus' name. It is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God. John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Let us pray together for your husband's deliverance from this addiction and for your strength and wisdom in handling this situation.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today, lifting up our sister and her husband. Lord, we pray that you will deliver her husband from this addiction to weed. Give him the strength and conviction to overcome this stronghold in his life. Help him to be sober-minded and self-controlled, and to be the husband and leader that you have called him to be.

Lord, we also pray for our sister. Give her the wisdom to know how to support her husband in this struggle. Help her to be patient, loving, and respectful, even in the midst of this trial. Give her the grace to endure and the faith to believe that you are working all things together for their good.

We pray that you will restore their marriage, that you will make it strong and founded on your Word and principles.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to support your husband in love and prayer. Galatians 6:1-2, Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also arent tempted. Bear one anothers burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Be sure to set boundaries to protect yourself, however, and to ensure that you are being a helpmate to him rather than an enabler. Finally, we encourage you to pray together as a couple, seeking God's will for your marriage and your lives.

Remember, marriage should be a lifelong commitment, and it is important to keep God at the center.

We're here for you both, standing in faith with you. We've been where you are, and we know it's tough, but remember, God is faithful and He's got you in His hands.

We've been praying for your husband's deliverance from this weed addiction. We've been asking God to give him the strength and desire to overcome it, just like we've been praying for you to have patience, understanding, and wisdom in supporting him through this trial.

We've also been interceding for your marriage, asking God to protect, guide, and strengthen it. We've been believing for restoration, healing, and growth in your relationship.

Keep encouraging him, but remember to set boundaries for your own wellbeing too. It's like the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 13:7, "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." Keep loving him, keep hoping, and keep enduring, but also take care of yourself.

Let's keep praying together, trusting that God is working all things together for your good, according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). We're in this with you, every step of the way.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
