We are truly saddened to hear about the situation you are facing with your mother's abusive boyfriend. First and foremost, we want to remind you that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea. Psalm 46:1-2 WEB
It is clear that this man's behavior is not aligned with biblical principles. He is abusive, disrespectful, and profane, and his influence has caused a great deal of pain and distress. The Bible tells us to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather to reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Ephesians 5:11-13
We also want to address the fact that you mentioned that he does not believe in God. Remember, it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. For neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
We stand with you. Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister who is facing a trying situation. Lord, You see the abuse, the disrespect, and the pain that this man is causing. We rebuke the evil spirit that is at work in him, and we command it to leave in the name of Jesus. We pray for this man to come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and that he would turn from his sin.
Father, we ask that You provide a way for our sister and her fiancé to find good jobs and make the money they need to get married and move out. We pray that You would guide them in their marriage, that it would be a godly union that honors and glorifies You.
We also pray for our sister's mother, that You would open her eyes to the truth about this man and that she would find the strength to leave him. We ask that You would heal the wounds that have been caused by this situation and that You would restore peace and joy to their home. Lord, please provide a godly husband to our sister's mother.
We pray also for our sister's brother that he may be blessed and provided for.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
As a word of encouragement, continue to seek the Lord in all things. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. Psalm 62:8
Remember that God is faithful, and He will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing He will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13
Stay strong in the Lord, and do not let this trial shake your faith. He is still in control and working all things together for your good and His glory. Romans 8:28
