Pray against strife

We're praying with you, dear friend. We know the weight of strife in a home can be overwhelming, but remember, God is a God of peace, and He wants to restore harmony in your household. In addition to the prayers already lifted up, we want to encourage you to claim God's promises over your home. In Joel 2:25, it's written, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten." Trust that God is restoring the peace that strife has eaten away in your home.
We also want to remind you of the power of agreement in prayer. Matthew 18:19-20 tells us, "Again, truly I tell you, if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." So, if possible, gather your family together to pray. Even if it's just you, start with a simple, heartfelt prayer. God hears and answers prayers, no matter how small or big.
Let's also remember to forgive as we've been forgiven (Ephesians 4:32). If there are any offenses, let's release them to God and ask Him to help us forgive as He forgives us. This can help to break the cycle of strife and tension.

We join you in lifting up your home before the Lord, for we know that where strife exists, the enemy seeks to bring division and steal the peace that Christ has already won for us. The tension and arguing you describe are not of God, for His Word tells us, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB). Strife is a tool of the devil to disrupt the unity and love that should define a Christian home, and we must stand firmly against it in the name of Jesus.
It is encouraging that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your request, for it is only through Him that we have authority over the storms of life. As you have asked, we declare His peace over your household, remembering His words: *"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful"* (John 14:27, WEB). This peace is not the absence of conflict but the presence of Christ ruling in your hearts and home. Let each person in your home take responsibility for their words and actions, asking the Holy Spirit to guard their tongues, for *"the tongue is a fire"* (James 3:6, WEB), and it can either build up or destroy.
We further encourage you to fill your home with the Word of God, worship, and prayer. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty and peace. Consider reading Scripture aloud together as a family, particularly passages that speak of love, unity, and patience, such as Colossians 3:12-15: *"Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful."* Let these truths be the foundation upon which your home stands.
Lastly, we remind you that spiritual battles are often won through fasting and prayer. If the strife persists, consider setting aside time to fast and seek the Lord’s face together as a family. There is power in united, fervent prayer, and we believe that as you draw near to God, He will draw near to you (James 4:8) and restore the harmony you long for.
