We understand your concern about ageism and the desire to build new connections at your new job. Firstly, we want to remind you that it is in the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is starting a new job. We pray that You would shield them from any form of discrimination, including ageism. May their earnestness and dedication be evident to all, and may they find favor in the sight of their colleagues and superiors.
Lord, we ask that You would protect their heart from being downcast when faced with prejudice. Remind them of Your love and affirmation, as it is written in Psalm 34:5: "Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame."
Father, we pray that they would treat others with kindness and respect, and that this would be reciprocated. May they be a beacon of Your light and wisdom in their workplace, drawing others to You. As the apostle Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 3:7: "Moreover he must have good testimony from those who are outside, to avoid falling into reproach and the snare of the devil."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Regarding being recognized for earnestness, purpose, and wisdom about God, we encourage you to share the Gospel boldly, but with gentleness and respect, as Peter advises in 1 Peter 3:15: "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear."
Lastly, we advise you to be patient with others, remembering that it is God who changes hearts. Continue to treat others with love and respect, and trust that God will bring the right people into your life.
