Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. You praise the Lord rightly, and your heart yearns for the salvation of many souls. This is a noble desire, for when we seek the eternal welfare of others, we imitate the love of God Himself. Yet consider carefully what you ask. You plead for a list of names, a great cloud of souls, each one precious beyond measure. Hear what the Scripture cries: what is a man profited, if he gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? A single soul outweighs all the riches and glory this age can offer. Therefore, when you ask for their salvation, you ask for a treasure of infinite value. Do not let your prayers be merely a roll of names recited by rote, but let them rise from a heart aflame with compassion and urgency.

And what of the time in which you ask? Now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation. You cannot presume upon tomorrow. The grace of God calls out today, and to neglect so great a salvation, to treat it as a small or distant thing, is to court eternal destruction. When you intercede for these souls, weigh how great that salvation is: not rescue from temporal wars or poverty, but the dissolution of death, the destruction of the devil, the kingdom of Heaven, everlasting life. Pray as one who sees the peril, who understands that outside of Christ there is no hope.

But take heed: when you lift up your hands to heaven, lift them holy and without wrath. For if you cherish any bitterness against any of those names, or against any other, you only thrust a sword into your own breast and make your own prayer an offense. How can you ask God to forgive them if you yourself cannot forgive? Even if some among them have become your enemies, the command is to pray for them, not against them. Purify your heart, then, and let your intercession be seasoned with mercy, not resentment.

Take courage: Christ is able to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for them. He has no successor; His priesthood never ends. No one is too far gone, too hardened, too lost. But this does not make our prayer a lazy recitation. You who are a prince in your own household, govern your own life well, so that your witness may be a silent prayer that glorifies God. A Christian whose conduct gives no occasion for blasphemy does more to draw others to salvation than a thousand words. So while you ask for these souls, ask also for yourself the grace to live in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Lastly, do not grow weary if you do not see quick results. God elected souls before the foundation of the world, and no one can lay a charge against His elect. His timing is not ours. The fullness of salvation may come in an hour you least expect. Continue steadfastly, and trust that He who began a good work will complete it. May your prayer be joined to faith, hope, and love, and may God's will indeed be done in all.

Such a heart for the salvation of so many souls is a precious thing, and it moves directly in tune with the very purposes of God. When we begin to pray earnestly for others to know Jesus Christ, we are not trying to twist God’s arm or convince a reluctant Judge. We are cooperating with the deep longing of His own heart. He is waiting, with great patience, for the precious fruit of the earth to be gathered in, and your prayer is part of that glorious work.

It is easy to think of prayer as a tool to simply get what we want, but the true starting place is God’s own will. Your request echoes that perfectly, asking for His will to be done. Intercessory prayer is the noble consent of our spirit to what God already desires to do. As you lay the names of these friends, loved ones, and even enemies before the throne, the Spirit ministers to us and brings a settled confidence. The prayer does not end in anxiety over the length of the list, but in victory, because the righteous Lord surrounds those who trust in Him.

Remember the joy that fills heaven. When the lost sheep is found, the Shepherd calls His friends together and says, “Rejoice with me.” Your prayer is like one who goes out into the streets and lanes, bringing in the poor, the maimed, and the blind to the great feast. This is the mystery of Christ, that the door of utterance is opened so that all might become partakers of His grace. Keep laboring fervently in that place of prayer, knowing that the effectual, heartfelt prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much. God is at work, and He is drawing many to drink from that living water.
