We join you in lifting your heart to the Lord in this time of grief and transition. The loss of a parent is deeply painful, and we mourn with you as Scripture reminds us, *"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted"* (Matthew 5:4 WEB). Your mother’s soul now rests in the hands of our merciful God, and we trust in His promise that *"to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord"* (2 Corinthians 5:8 WEB) for those who have placed their faith in Christ. If your mother did not know Jesus as her Savior, we pray that in her final moments, the Holy Spirit drew her to repentance and faith. Only through Jesus can anyone be saved, for *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12 WEB).
We also lift up your need for employment, standing on the truth that *"my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19 WEB). The Lord knows your circumstances, and we pray He opens doors no man can shut, leading you to work that honors Him and provides for your family. Trust in His timing, for *"those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31 WEB).
Your desire to surrender your problems to God is a beautiful act of faith. We encourage you to continue casting your anxieties on Him, for *"casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). We also pray for your family’s protection and guidance, that you would walk in the light of His Word and be led into His perfect will.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister in their time of grief. Comfort them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and surround them with Your love as they mourn the loss of their mother. Lord, we ask that You would open new doors of opportunity for employment, providing for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Strengthen their faith as they surrender their burdens to You, and protect their family under the shadow of Your wings. Lead them in the path of righteousness, that they may bring glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
In this season, cling to the hope found in Christ, for He has overcome the world (John 16:33 WEB). If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your own heart and ensure you have placed your trust in Jesus for salvation. If you have, continue to walk in obedience to His Word, seeking His will above all else. You are not alone—God is with you, and so are we.
