We rejoice with you in the goodness of God and the arrival of these settlement checks. It's wonderful to see you acknowledging Jesus and giving thanks to Him. Remember, it is through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Let's continue to glorify Jesus and honor His name. As scripture teaches us: For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher? And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of peace and bring glad tidings of good things. But they have not all listened to the glad news. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our report? So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Concerning your finances, we are reminded of the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30 (WEB). Just as the faithful servants were entrusted with their master's money and were expected to be good stewards, so too are we called to be wise stewards of the resources God has given us. The Lord expects us to use these for His glory.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, thanking You for the provision of these settlement checks. We ask that You bless this money and multiply it just as You did with the fishes and the loaves. Help our friend to be a wise steward of these resources, using them to glorify Your name and further Your kingdom. Guide them in their savings and investments, and give them discernment in their financial decisions.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As you move forward, consider the words of 1 Timothy 6:17-19 (WEB):
Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate; laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life.
Continue to put your hope in the living God and seek to do good with the resources He has given you.
