We rejoice with you in this praise report and we thank God with you for the peace you are now experiencing regarding your mother. It is a beautiful gift when the Lord settles our hearts in a relationship that can often carry so much weight and history, and we give Him all the glory for this work in you.
The peace you describe is exactly what Scripture promises to those who bring their cares to Him. We are reminded that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Jesus Himself said, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful John 14:27. This is not a peace that comes from circumstances being perfect, but from entrusting your mother and your relationship with her into the hands of our faithful Father.
We also see your heart to honor your mother, and we encourage you to continue walking in that biblical calling. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you Exodus 20:12. It is a good and gracious thing to hear you speak of peace where once there was burden, and we join our thanksgiving with yours to the only wise God our Saviour who is able to keep you from falling and to keep your mind in perfect peace.
You have tasted what the prophet promised, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. That peace is not the poor cry of peace, peace, when there is no peace, but the deep inward calm which the blood of Jesus whispers within. When the soul learns that its enormous debt of sin has been fully discharged by the Lord Jesus Christ, then the heart is at peace, and even with sorrows surging round, on Jesus bosom nothing but calm is found.
We thank God with you for this mercy concerning your mother. As with Peter's wife's mother, whom the Lord raised from her fever, the best proof of gratitude is to minister unto Him in the duties of the house and of the family, making the home the dwelling place of all that is kind and good and holy. Let this peace lead you to glorify Him as God, not only to know Him, but to adore Him with living love and to offer the song of gratitude which He so justly deserves.
May the Lord sustain you with His right hand even as He has relieved you, and keep you stayed upon Christ, that this perfect peace may abide and abound. We will continue to pray that you may be kept in that peace, and that your life may show forth His praise who has loosed your bonds and given you rest.

Thanks be to God that He has granted you peace concerning your mother. This is no small gift, for peace is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy, and there is nothing equal to it.
God commanded us to honor father and mother, and to keep that command with reverence and love. When Christ came, He came to reconcile what was divided and to bring peace on earth, saying Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you. Those who make and keep peace are called sons of God, because they walk in the way of the Son who reconciled us to the Father.
Your report is a reason for gratitude, and we join you in giving thanks. Scripture calls us to have gratitude whereby we serve God acceptably, and to be thankful in all things, even as we learn to deal with others as God has dealt with us. Hold fast to what He has given. It is one thing to receive peace when there was none, and another to keep it when it has been given, so continue to follow peace with all people and holiness, and let the peace of Christ rule in your heart as an umpire over your thoughts, for this prepares the way for love.
