Praise report

I was getting quite panicky before I had my driving lesson. I noticed today that the feeling had gone and I was less anxious.

We rejoice with you in this wonderful praise report! It is truly a blessing to see how God has calmed your heart and eased your anxiety as you faced your driving lesson. This is a beautiful testimony of His faithfulness and peace that surpasses all understanding.

The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." It is evident that God has been at work in your life, answering your prayers and replacing fear with His perfect peace.

We also recognize that this victory is not just about driving but about trusting God in every area of life. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Your willingness to step out in faith, even when anxious, is a testament to your reliance on Him.

Let us continue to pray for you, that this peace would not only remain but grow stronger in every situation you face:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the work You are doing in this dear one’s life. We praise You for calming their fears and filling them with Your peace as they prepared for their driving lesson. Lord, we ask that You continue to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help them to trust You more each day, knowing that You are in control of every detail of their life. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them experience Your presence in new and powerful ways. May they always remember that Your peace is their portion, and Your strength is made perfect in their weakness. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Keep pressing into God’s promises, and remember that He is with you every step of the way. Your testimony is an encouragement to others who may be struggling with fear or anxiety. May the Lord continue to bless you and lead you into deeper trust in Him!

We’re so glad you shared this with us. That moment of noticing the panic had lifted before your driving lesson, that’s worth celebrating, and we’re celebrating it with you. When anxiety loosens its grip, even in small ways, it can feel like a gift of fresh air. And it is.

Sometimes anxiety comes in waves, and a break like this can give you a little solid ground to stand on. One thing that might help is simply holding onto the memory of today. When the old feeling tries to return, you can quietly remind yourself, “I’ve been here before, and it didn’t last, peace broke through, even when I wasn’t expecting it.” That’s not a magic formula; it’s just a real reminder that the panic isn’t permanent, and you’re not powerless.

We’re grateful for this step forward, and we’re asking God to anchor that peace deeper in you. No matter what comes next, He’s with you in the car, in the calm moments, and in the hard ones.

Lord Jesus, thank you for lifting this weight from our friend. Thank you for the simple but profound relief of a quiet mind before a lesson. Shower your peace over every future drive, and when anxiety knocks again, remind them you are right there, steady and kind. In your name. Amen.

In the lifting of that panic, you have tasted that the Lord is good. It is no small mercy when the soul, which was like the troubled sea, becomes as a weaned child. The God of Peace has, for a season, spoken calm to the winds and waves of your spirit. This quieting of the heart is the finger of God, for He is the God of peace, not of fear. When the Comforter broods over our dark, chaotic thoughts, He brings order and serenity, whispering peace within by the blood of Jesus.

This very relief is a token of His faithfulness. It is a fulfillment of the promise, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You: because he trusts in You." For a moment, the natural dread which made a coward of your heart has been driven back, and you have seen that an assured confidence in the goodness of God casts out fear. This is not the false peace of ignorance or a hardened conscience, which would be fatal; it is the peace of God, which passes all understanding, keeping the heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

Let this experience deepen your trust in the living God. To fear in the day of battle is mischievous, and your daily duties are your battlefield. Since He has given you this respite, go forward in His strength. Your mind was stayed on Him, and He did not fail you. Draw near to Him in prayer, and see what further answers He will give. Trust in the living God, whose mercies are new every morning. He who commands the light to shine out of darkness has shined into the little kingdom within you, and He who has begun this work will perfect it. Let your whole life be a confidence in your Father's hands, and you shall not have to mourn over sinful means of finding rest, for He Himself is your peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

What a cause for thanksgiving this is! For when panic rises up, it is as a war within the soul, the flesh rebelling against the spirit and stirring up a tumult of fear. But you have now seen that calm restored, the mutinous thoughts laid to rest. This is nothing other than a gift of that peace which Christ left to His own, a peace not as the world gives but a deep stillness that renders the heart strong. Yet do not imagine that this peace, once given, can never be taken away. Guard it diligently, lest the enemy return with sevenfold greater disturbance. For as the Apostle says, we must lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. That inner peace is sustained only when we cut off the diseased parts, the vain anxieties, the inordinate loves, the unbridled passions, and cleave to the true beauty that never fades. Therefore, give thanks to God, but also watch and pray, so that this respite may grow into a settled habit of the soul, a peace that passes understanding, by which you are united to Heaven itself. For where there is peace within, there God dwells.

It is a wonderful thing when you notice that the panic has simply lifted and the anxiety has faded. You stepped into the car with less fear, and you can see the difference. That is not just a change in your feelings or a lucky moment of calm. That is a taste of what God promises to do for those whose minds are stayed on Him.

The world is full of reasons for a heart to be troubled. Circumstances can stir up fear, and your own thoughts can become a storm. But Jesus said He gives a peace that is entirely unlike anything the world can offer. It does not depend on perfect conditions. It comes when you turn your attention away from the chaos and fix it firmly on Him. As you trust Him, you begin to rest in the truth that He is going to take care of what concerns you. That lesson became a place where you experienced His keeping power.

This peace begins with having peace with God. The war inside, the running and the struggle, ends when you come to Him through Jesus Christ. The sacrifice of Jesus made that peace treaty possible. But God wants you to know more than just a settled legal standing. He wants you to experience the actual peace of God, a calm that guards your heart and mind. It does not always make sense. People might see your situation and wonder how you are not panicking. But the peace passes human understanding because it is not a product of your own reasoning. It is the result of staying your mind on Him.

Do not make the mistake of anchoring your faith to the feeling of peace itself. Peace is the fruit, not the root. Your hope rests on the solid Word of God. There may be tough mornings ahead. You might face another situation that tries to stir up that old panic. If your confidence was only in how peaceful you felt during that driving lesson, it could be shaken later. But if you keep believing what God has said and keep looking to Him, that same peace will rise again. It is His promise to keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him because he trusts in Him.

He has not forgotten you. His thoughts toward you are for peace, not for harm. He is not waiting for you to fail. He is actively working to bring you to the expected end He has planned. So when the trembling tries to return, you can call on Him. You can pray, turning your heart back to His care. As you do, the peace that belongs to Christ begins to fill your life again. Let what you experienced in that lesson encourage you to keep walking in that fellowship, where He ordains peace for you.

We are so grateful that you shared your prayer request with us and allowed us to stand with you in faith as you faced your driving lesson with anxiety. It brings us such joy to hear your praise report—knowing that the Lord has calmed your heart and replaced fear with His peace is a powerful reminder of His faithfulness. We rejoice with you in this answer to prayer and give thanks to God for His loving kindness.

If there are still areas where you need His strength or comfort, we are here to lift those up as well. May the Lord continue to guide you, steady your hands, and fill you with confidence as you grow in this new skill. Keep us updated on how He is working in your life—your testimony encourages others to trust in Him too.

We pray that His presence goes with you always, that you would feel His peace in every situation, and that you would continue to draw near to Him through Jesus Christ our Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
