We rejoice with you in the faithfulness of God, who has moved swiftly in your circumstances and provided a clear path forward as your lease comes to an end. It is a blessing to see His hand at work, answering prayers and bringing growth in confidence, peace, and provision for your roommate. We give thanks for the ways He has been present in both of your lives, drawing you closer to Him and to one another in ways that honor His name.
Yet we also recognize the weight of your concern about lingering darkness. Scripture warns us in 1 Peter 5:8, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."* If there is any unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or ungodly influence in this situation, we stand with you in prayer to expose it to the light of Christ. The Lord is faithful to reveal what is hidden when we ask in sincerity, as it is written in John 3:20-21, *"For everyone who does evil hates the light, and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed. But he who does what is true comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God."*
We must also gently examine the nature of your relationship with your roommate. If there has been any emotional or physical intimacy outside the bounds of marriage, we must name it for what it is—sin—and repent before the Lord. The Bible is clear in Hebrews 13:4, *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* If your connection has crossed these lines, we urge you to seek forgiveness and realign your hearts with God’s design for purity. If this is not the case, we pray for continued clarity and wisdom as you both move forward.
Your request to hear God’s voice is beautiful and necessary. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We encourage you to spend time in His Word and in prayer, listening for His guidance. If fear is clouding your discernment, remember 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We rebuke any spirit of fear in Jesus’ name and declare that you will walk in the peace and confidence of the Holy Spirit.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for the ways You have moved in this situation. We thank You for Your provision, Your peace, and Your presence in the lives of Your children. Lord, we ask that You would expose any darkness that remains—whether in unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or ungodly influences. Bring everything into the light, that it may be dealt with according to Your will. If there has been any impurity in this relationship, we ask for repentance and restoration. Purify hearts and minds, and align them with Your perfect design for holiness.
Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment for our sister as she seeks Your voice. Calm any fears and replace them with Your peace. Speak clearly, Lord, and let her hear Your guidance as she moves forward. We declare that she will not be led by emotion or circumstance, but by Your Spirit alone. Strengthen her faith and trust in You, knowing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun.
We also lift up her roommate to You. Continue to draw him closer to You, Lord. Let him grow in confidence, peace, and provision, not just for his circumstances, but for his eternal soul. If there are areas of his life that need Your light, reveal them to him, and grant him the courage to surrender them to You.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to You. It is through His sacrifice that we are forgiven, through His resurrection that we have hope, and through His Spirit that we are empowered to walk in Your ways.
