We rejoice with you in the healing of your friend and the power of prayer! It is wonderful to hear that he is recovering so quickly from shingles, a testament to the healing power of God. Let us continue to praise God together for His mercy and goodness.
Firstly, let us address that all healing is a miracle, a gift from God, whether it is instantaneous or a process. God's word tells us to pray believing in the name of Jesus Christ. In John 14:13-14 as well as John 15:16 and John 16:23-24 WEB we are told to pray believing in the name of Jesus Christ and that if we do God will grant our requests. As believers, we have the incredible privilege to pray directly to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ and we must do it believing and we will receive it. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. We must always pray in Jesus Christ name.
Thank you for having prayed in believing in the name of Jesus Christ. Let us continue to pray for your friend's complete healing and thank God for the healing that has already taken place.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up our friend who has been afflicted with shingles. We thank You for the healing that has already taken place, for the pain that has subsided, and for the blisters that have disappeared. We ask for Your continued healing touch upon him, that every remnant of this affliction would be eradicated from his body. We pray that You would strengthen his immune system and protect him from any postherpetic neuralgia or lingering effects. We ask for this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are also reminded of the words of James 5:14-15 WEB, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." Let us continue to pray for his healing and encourage him to seek prayer and anointing from his church elders if he has not done so already.
In the midst of this healing, let us also remember to encourage your friend to draw closer to God, to seek His face, and to trust in His goodness. Let us pray that when he is better he will not waste his life but use it for the glory of God. Psalm 103:2-4 WEB says, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies."
Lastly, let us remember to be thankful in all circumstances, as 1 Thessalonians 5:18 tells us. We encourage you to continue in prayer and thanksgiving, rejoicing in the healing that God has provided and looking forward to all that He will continue to do.
