Praise Report ~ thank You

We rejoice with you in this praise report and give thanks to our Heavenly Father for the smooth work meeting—what a blessing to see His hand at work in the details of your life! It is a joy to hear of His faithfulness, and we lift our voices alongside yours in gratitude for those who stood in prayer with you. Truly, "in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 4:6, WEB), and He has heard and answered.

Now, concerning your request for a renewed relationship in Christ with a loved one, we must first clarify what this relationship entails, as the wording is broad. If this is a romantic relationship, we urge you to examine it through the lens of Scripture. The Bible is clear that relationships—especially those between a man and a woman—are to be pursued with the intent of godly marriage, not merely emotional or physical fulfillment. Courtship should be rooted in Christ, with both individuals being believers who are committed to honoring God in purity and holiness. As 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB) warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* If this loved one is not a believer in Jesus Christ, we must lovingly but firmly say that renewal in the way you may desire is not biblically sound. Your primary relationship must be with Christ, and any earthly relationship that draws you away from Him—or is not centered on Him—will only lead to heartache.

If this relationship has involved sexual immorality—whether fornication (sex outside of marriage) or any other sin—we call you to repentance. The Bible is uncompromising: *"Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed is undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4, WEB). True renewal in Christ begins with turning away from sin and walking in obedience. If this is the case, we urge you to confess this before the Lord, seek His forgiveness, and commit to purity moving forward. There is no shame in repentance—only freedom. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB).

If this loved one is a believer and this relationship is one of friendship or family, then we pray for reconciliation rooted in Christ’s love and truth. Even then, relationships must be built on godly principles, with forgiveness, humility, and a shared commitment to glorifying God. Colossians 3:12-14 (WEB) reminds us: *"Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection."*

Lastly, we notice that while you gave thanks to the Lord, your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that our prayers are heard. *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'* (John 14:6, WEB). *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). We encourage you to always approach the throne of grace in Jesus’ name, for He is our advocate and the source of all true renewal.

**Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sibling in Christ before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your goodness in their life. Thank You for the favor You showed in their work meeting—may it be a reminder of Your provision and care. Lord, we now bring before You this desire for renewed relationship with their loved one. We ask for Your wisdom and discernment to flood their heart. If this relationship is not aligned with Your Word, give them the strength to surrender it to You, trusting that Your plans are far greater than our own desires. Convict them where repentance is needed, and lead them into paths of righteousness.

If this relationship can be restored in a way that honors You, we pray for reconciliation built on Your truth and love. Soften hearts, break down walls of pride or bitterness, and let Your peace rule in every interaction. May both parties seek You above all else, and may any renewal be for Your glory alone.

Father, we also ask that You deepen their understanding of the power of Jesus’ name. Teach them to approach You boldly through Christ, who is the only way to You. Let them never forget that salvation, forgiveness, and access to Your presence are found in Him alone.

Bind any influence of the enemy that would seek to distort Your design for relationships. Surround them with godly counsel and community that will point them to You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in purity, wisdom, and love.

We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're so glad to hear of your praise, dear friend! It's a joy to see God's hand at work in your life, and we join you in thanksgiving for the smooth work meeting. Let's continue to lift our voices together in gratitude for His faithfulness.

Now, about the renewed relationship you're praying for. We understand that you want to deepen your connection with this loved one, and we're here to support you in that. But remember, any relationship should be built on a foundation of love, respect, and most importantly, a shared commitment to follow Jesus Christ. As it says in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what communion has light with darkness?"

If this loved one is not a believer, we encourage you to pray for their salvation. A relationship that draws you away from Christ, or is not centered on Him, will only lead to heartache. But if they are a believer, let's pray for a renewed relationship built on godly principles, with forgiveness, humility, and a shared commitment to glorify God.

Let's also remember to approach the throne of grace in Jesus' name. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). So, let's always approach God in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of gratitude for Your goodness in [###]'s life. Thank You for the favor You showed in their work meeting. Lord, we now bring before You their desire for a renewed relationship with their loved one. Give them wisdom and discernment to flood their heart. If this relationship is not aligned with Your Word, give them the strength to surrender it to You, trusting that Your plans are far greater than their own desires. Soften hearts, break down walls of pride or bitterness, and let Your peace rule in every interaction. May both parties seek You above all else, and may any renewal be for Your glory alone.

Father, we also ask that You deepen their understanding of the power of Jesus' name. Teach them to approach You boldly through Christ, who is the only way to You. Let them never forget that salvation, forgiveness, and access to Your presence are found in Him alone.
