Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Praise The Lord! All things considered, I’m doing well, and I’m very ‘Blessed by God!’ and for that, “I’m very thankful.” With that said, I do have a somewhat, “Nagging” issue that keeps returning to me and, if, after it is prayed about, you have some sort of advice, well, feel free to express it. Here's the deal: Up until March of 2023 I lived with and worked as somewhat of a non-professional caregiver/caretaker for my mom. I don't recall exactly (or nearly) the length of time in which I attempted to take care of her house and property; provide somewhat 'safe' and 'reliable' transportation to and from medical appointments (on and off island) and visits to her on-island friends; and provide and prepare most of her 'home-cooked' meals. Let's just say that was what I did full time for over a year, and part time for several years. Now (since mid-July 20233), I've been 'separated' from most contact with my mom and other families, simply due to the fact that my physical and mental disabilities, coupledd with my major 'financial' shortfall(s), have made it very difficult to visit with any family members. With that said, “Please, pray for me, and please pray for all of my co-residents, family members, loved ones, friends, colleagues, and anyone and everyone ‘The Holy Spirit’ places on our hearts. Praise The Lord! I ask this in Jesus’ Precious Name. Amen.

We rejoice with you in your praise and thanksgiving to our Father and to Jesus our Lord, and we give thanks with you for the many blessings you have received. We hear your heart in this nagging burden of separation from your mother and family since you faithfully served as a caregiver for so long, and we lift this before the Lord together.

Your service to your mother is precious in the sight of God. You honored her with your time, your labor, your care for her home and property, your faithfulness in providing transportation and meals, and that reflects the commandment that says Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you Exodus 20:12 and Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise Ephesians 6:1-2. The Lord saw your labor of love even when it was full time and demanding for over a year and part time for several years before that, and He does not forget such service.

We understand how heavy it feels now to be separated since mid July ###, with physical and mental disabilities and financial shortfalls making visits and contact so difficult. It is natural for feelings of guilt, loneliness, grief, and worry to return again and again. Yet we are reminded that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 and that He has promised Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. In your weakness His grace is sufficient, for My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9, and we know that to those who love God all things work together for good, even this season of separation and limitation Romans 8:28.

We encourage you to continue in that thankful spirit you have shown, and to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. While visits may be limited, we encourage you to stay connected as you are able through phone calls, letters, or messages, and to let your church family and co-residents bear this burden with you, for Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ Galatians 6:2. If you have not already, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and practical help through your local church or community resources for both your health needs and financial needs, trusting that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. Come to Him daily for rest, as Jesus said Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.

We join our faith with yours and pray together.

Father, in the precious name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace with our brother. We thank You for his life, for his thankful heart, and for the years he was able to honor his mother through caregiving. Lord, You know the physical and mental disabilities he carries and the financial shortfalls that weigh on him, and You know the ache of separation from his mother and family. We ask that You comfort him, strengthen him, and provide for every need according to Your riches in glory. Grant him peace that surpasses understanding, healing according to Your will, and wisdom for each day. We pray for his mother and all his family members, his co-residents, loved ones, friends, colleagues, and everyone the Holy Spirit places on our hearts, that You would draw each one closer to Jesus, protect them, and supply what they need. Help our brother to remain faithful in prayer and to feel Your presence even when he cannot be present with family. Let him know that he is not forgotten, for You place the lonely in families Psalm 68:6, and that Your love never fails. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, who alone is the way, the truth and the life, and through whom we have access to You. Amen.

We thank you for sharing so openly, and with such gratitude even while carrying this nagging ache.

We hear how much you gave to care for your mom for years, full time and then part time, looking after her home and property, driving her to appointments on and off island and to see friends, cooking most of her meals. That kind of daily faithfulness is demanding, and it makes sense that stepping away has left a quiet space that is hard to fill.

Being separated from your mom and other family since last July because of health limits and financial strain would leave anyone feeling lonely and disconnected. It is understandable to feel blessed by God and still feel the weight of missing those close relationships.

One small step that sometimes helps in a season like this is choosing one low pressure way to stay tethered. It could be a brief phone call, a short note, or asking a pastor, chaplain, or trusted friend to help pass along a greeting when travel is not possible. If you are able, gathering with a local church community even occasionally can ease isolation simply by being among God's people. Please keep your doctors and counselors in the loop about your physical and mental health alongside prayer, so you have steady support around you.

Father, we lift our brother to You in Jesus' name. Draw near in his loneliness, provide for his practical needs, watch over his health, and keep his co-residents, family and friends in Your care. Lead him to encouraging fellowship and to clear next steps, and let him know Your presence day by day. Amen.

Your thankfulness in the midst of trial has greatly encouraged us, and we join you in praising the Lord for His mercies to you. To be able to say you are blessed by God while bearing physical and mental infirmities and financial shortfalls is itself a work of grace, and we thank God for it.

We have heard your burden concerning the years you spent caring for your mother, providing for her house and property, preparing her meals and bearing her to her appointments, and the separation you have felt since mid July of 2023 when infirmity and want have kept you from ready fellowship with her and with other family. Such loneliness is a painful portion. Our Savior Himself knew this sorrow, for He was left alone just when most, as Man, He needed human sympathy. He understands the ache of being parted from those you love and the soul conflict that comes when faith must fight for very existence. You are not unseen in this condition, for He who was alone in His suffering now lives to intercede for His lonely people.

We also hear your desire not only for yourself but for all your co residents, family members, loved ones, friends and colleagues, and all whom the Holy Spirit places upon your heart. This is a mark of the family of God. Though death and distance and infirmity seem to divide us, the Scripture tells us there is still the whole family in heaven and earth, one undivided household in Christ. Neither errors nor failures nor the graves that crowd the cemetery can break that union for those who are in Him. If you belong to Christ by faith, you belong to that family, and your separation, though painful, is not beyond His sight nor beyond His power to sustain you.

We will pray for you, and we do pray now. We ask the Lord to grant you strength in body and peace in mind, to supply your financial needs according to His wisdom and goodness, and to keep you in steady trust that all things are yours in Christ even when outward provision seems cold and small. We pray for your mother, that God would keep her and bless her, and for your family and co residents and all whom you have named, that the Lord would draw each one to Himself and keep them in His care. We ask that where reunion and restored fellowship is possible and wise, the Lord would open the way in His time, and where it is not yet possible, He would comfort you with His own presence and with the fellowship of His people.

By way of counsel, we encourage you to maintain private prayer and to seek such fellowship as your strength allows, whether in the gathering of the church or in quiet converse with one or two who know the Lord. It is just and right to seek honest provision for daily wants, yet let not want become the main thought of the heart, but cast your care upon Him who cares for you. Continue to commit your mother and your family to the Lord who entered into covenant to save and preserve His people, as He preserved Noah and his household in the ark. Noah acted in faith and freedom, entering where God had appointed safety, and so must we by faith enter into Christ, our only ark.

May the Lord make you to know that though you may feel alone, you are not alone, for Christ is with you, and His family is one. We will continue to bear you before the throne of grace.

Our Father, we thank You for this dear soul who gives thanks even in trial. Look in mercy upon his infirmities of body and mind, supply his needs, comfort his loneliness with the presence of Christ who was left alone for our sakes, and keep his mother and all his family and household in Your gracious hand. Bring each one into living faith in Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation, and knit Your people together as one whole family in heaven and earth. Grant peace, patience and hope, and let private and family prayer be diligently maintained. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our only hope. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
