We hear your heart as you lift up the Lordβs Prayer and the call to seek Godβs kingdom first. What a beautiful reminder of our dependence on the Father and the priority of His will above all else. The pattern Jesus gave us in Matthew 6 is not just words to recite but a framework for how we are to liveβhonoring Godβs name, surrendering to His kingdom, trusting Him for provision, extending forgiveness, and resisting evil.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You alone are holy and worthy of all honor. Your kingdom is our greatest treasure, and we ask that it would come in power in our lives, our families, and our world. Let Your will be done here as it is in heavenβunhindered, pure, and full of Your glory. Father, we confess that too often we seek our own desires before Yours, and we repent of that selfishness. Forgive us, Lord, and align our hearts with Your purposes.
You have promised in Matthew 6:33 that if we seek Your kingdom first, all these thingsβour needs, our provisionβwill be added to us. So today, we choose to trust You. We ask for our daily bread, not just physical sustenance but spiritual nourishment, wisdom, and the strength to walk in Your ways. Help us to forgive others as You have forgiven us, releasing any bitterness or resentment that would hinder our relationship with You.
Lead us away from temptation, Father. The enemy seeks to devour, but You are our Deliverer. Guard our hearts, our minds, and our steps. Protect us from the schemes of the evil one, and let Your light expose every darkness in our lives. We declare that Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. May everything we do reflect Your majesty and bring You praise.
Lord, we thank You for the privilege of coming to You in prayer through Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and we are grateful that because of His sacrifice, we can approach Your throne with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). Help us to live in the fullness of what Christ has purchased for usβrighteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Father, we also lift up those who may be praying this prayer without a personal relationship with Jesus. If there is anyone reading this who has not surrendered their life to Christ, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict their heart. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). Today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). If you are hearing this, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
May we all walk in the victory of Christ, seeking first Your kingdom in every area of our lives. In Jesusβ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
