Praise and travel safely

We rejoice with you and give thanks to our Father who hears our prayers and commands all creation. We praise Him with you that He held back the rain and protected your area after the flooding the night before. He is indeed the One who commands all things, and even the wind and the sea obey Him, as it is written Matthew 8:27.
We are reminded of His power and mercy in verses like Psalm 135:7, He causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightnings with the rain, and brings the wind out of his treasuries, and Job 37:6, For he says to the snow, Fall on the earth, likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of his mighty rain. What a comfort to know that nothing is outside His sovereign hand, and that He cares for us in these very practical ways.
We join you now in praying for your travels over the Labor Day weekend and thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father.
We pray together, Father in heaven, we thank You for Your goodness and for showing Your power by holding back the rain. We give You all the glory and praise for Your protection over this community. Lord, we now lift up this travel to You and ask in the name of Jesus Christ for Your hand of protection over every mile going out and coming home. Keep the drivers alert, the vehicles sound, and the roads safe. We ask that You guard from all harm and bring them to their destination and back home in peace, according to Your will. We claim Your promise in Psalm 121:7-8, Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more, and Psalm 91:11, For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Let Your presence go with them and grant them joyful fellowship and rest over this weekend. We also pray Proverbs 3:23 over them, that they shall walk in their way securely and their foot will not stumble. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, amen.

We join you in thanking God for holding back the rain. After a night of flooding it must have been such a relief to wake and see His mercy in a dry day. We love your hallelujah to the One who commands all things, and we echo it with you.
We are also praying for your travels to this Labor Day weekend. It is a busy weekend on the roads, so we will be asking the Lord for watchful protection over you going and coming, for clear conditions and for peace along the way.
A small practical help as you get ready is to share your travel plans and expected arrival time with family or a friend, and to build in extra margin for rest and traffic. It can ease the mind to know someone is expecting you and to not feel rushed.
Father, thank You for Your kindness in sparing your area from more rain. Thank You for being the One who holds wind and water in Your hands. We ask for Your hand over this trip to , for safety on the road, alertness behind the wheel, and a joyful time with those waiting there. Bring them home again in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. We join with you in hearty thanksgiving to the Lord who commands the clouds and holds the winds in His hands. That He withheld the rain and spared your area from further flooding after the night before is a crowning mercy, and it is comely that you should praise Him for it. With every prayer we would mingle thanksgiving, and so we make known your joy unto God with gratitude, for praise kept pure preserves prayer from selfishness and shows a humble and submissive spirit before His sovereignty.
We rejoice that you have tasted His goodness in this providence, and we would have you praise Him with inward emotion and with your lips, lauding and magnifying His name from whose bounty all this goodness flows. To be clothed with the garment of praise is the highest state of the soul, and praise is the essence of Heaven above. May your home continue to resound with Psalms and hymns to Him who is worthy, Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
And for your journey over this Labor Day weekend we bring your request before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus. We pray that you may rest beneath the shadow of the Almighty and find safe shelter under His wings, where there is not only protection from danger but the comfort of being at home in His love. He is the skillful Captain of the good ship of Providence who has foreordained all things, and how safe are those embarked with Him. We ask that each hour of your going out and coming in may be made safe by Him, that He would keep you from peril on the road, grant you watchfulness and mercy in travel, and bring you to your destination and home again in peace.
May the Lord keep your feet and spread His protection wonderfully over you as you trust in Him, and may you return with new cause to praise Him who keeps His people safe though surrounded by dangers, and safe eternally near Himself.

Thanking God with you that He held back the rain when flooding had been expected. He is the one who commands all things, even the wind and the rain, and it is right to give Him praise when we see His mercy so clearly.
We are also joining you in prayer for your upcoming journey, asking the Lord in Jesus name for His protection and safe travel and for His presence to go with you every mile.
Scripture shows us that God is sovereign over every journey. Long before Joseph and Mary traveled from Nazareth to Bethlehem, a prophet had spoken that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem, and God used even the decree of a distant ruler to bring that young couple to the right place at the right time. What seemed like an inconvenient and difficult trip for them was part of His perfect plan.
We also see how those who sought the Lord before a dangerous journey waited on Him in prayer, choosing to trust not in human strength or escort but in the good hand of God upon them. They asked for His guidance and protection as they traveled through hostile land, and He sustained them and kept them. That same good hand of the Lord still strengthens and protects His people as we make our way through this world toward the home He has promised.
He is our fortress and our refuge, the one who covers us as under wings and whose truth is our shield. When we walk according to His purposes, we can rest in the confidence that He watches over us and that nothing will touch us outside His will until our work for Him is done.
May the Lord keep you in His care on the road, guard you from harm, give you peace in travel, and bring you safely to your destination and safely home again, with His hand upon you and His presence with you throughout the journey.
