Family,

"But the people were thirsty for water there, and they grumbled against ###. They said, "Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst." Then ### cried out to the Lord, "What am I to do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me." - Exodus 17:3-4

The philosopher Aristotle once said, "Criticism is something we can avoid easily by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.” It is somewhat surprising to hear that so often many leaders are afraid of the critics and the criticism that comes with the mantle of leadership...

Leaders must surely and slowly recognize that you cannot please everybody. There is always going to be something that leaders are criticized over. It comes with the territory. Criticism has to exist to keep the leader focused and prepared...

Criticism will exist for leaders because people may not understand why leaders do what they do. Leadership is not a lonely position. Leaders should always be elevating and lifting others to places that they have never been before. The purpose of leadership is not for the leader to get glory or get all of the publicity. The purpose of leadership is to develop, grow, help, lift and promote vision. The tension between what is and what should be...

### at one point probably had the doubt of why he was sent to Pharaoh and why he was chosen to lead the children of Israel. The Israelites prayed to be delivered from the hand of the Egyptians and yet were ungrateful of the leader that God sent to lead them. No matter how much ### did for the Israelites. No matter how well ### led during the time of the wilderness journey. No matter how faithful he was to the command of God, ### was still criticized...Why...?

Because Aristotle made it plain...if you want to avoid criticism say nothing, do nothing or be nothing. Now the question before us beloved is:

Is that the kind of life you want...?

"I don't feel no ways tired...come to far from where I started from...Nobody told me the road would be easy...I don't believe He brought me this far to leave me..."
