Good Morning Family,
"Since, then, we do not have the excuse of ignorance, everything - and I do mean everything - connected with that old way of life has to go. It's rotten through and through. Get rid of it! And then take on an entirely new way of life - a God - fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces his character in you." - (Message) Ephesians 4:21-24
As we grow in God, there should be a ongoing change. It should not be the same continuum. We should not be living the same life, thinking the same thoughts, or conducting ourselves in the same manner. As we grow in knowing God and learning the Word of God, we must cut off our old way of life. The Apostle Paul reminds us in this passage that the old way of life contains nothing good...
The reality is we like sin. To our flesh, sin feels good and this is why we are drawn to it. It is our desire to do what feels good to us. Everyday we must know in heart and mind that God has to make our decisions...Why...?
We cannot make wise decisions on our own. We must be in constant consultation and communication with God to renew our mind in changing our conduct. As our mind is renewed then our life is changed. Then we can profess what Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come..."
"A wonderful change has come over me..."
