Good Morning Family,
"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord." - Psalm 20
Last Monday, the stock market experienced an upward turn. The next day the Dow closed in a downward spiral. Brokers were ecstatic that the market appeared to experience an upward move because this would signal that the economy is regaining solid footing. When the Dow closed at 700 points below folks were again disappointed...Why...? Because people are trusting in something that is flimsy at best. The stock market is predicated on different economic conditions and factors. It is up one day and down the next...
Life is similar to this. If you and I do not know how to handle the ups and downs of life, we will lose our bearings. One day we are on top of the world and the next day, the world may be on top of us...but what is our reaction...?
Our reaction needs to be trusting in a Sovereign God who has everything under control. The God who is in charge and knows the end from the beginning. What is happening in this economic downswing has happened before. Our ancestors experienced economic crisis before and yet they still made it...Because...
They had faith in a power that is greater than any situation. A force that was not predicated on any condition. A help that was not limited by any circumstance. Beloved, place your trust in the God who is more than enough, more than able and has a record that is filled with credibility...
"Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus...just to take Him at His word..."
