Good Morning Family,
"Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by faith."- Habakkuk 2:4
The 700 billion dollar bailout has been the story that has dominated most of the headlines. Whether it is the television, newspaper, radio, bus stop, water cooler, barber shop, beauty salon...etc. The topic is the state of the economy. For the most part, many of us have been feeling the effects for the last 1 -2 years...Yet...
It has finally appeared to affect the rich and powerful. While this has taken place to the wealthiest of pocketbooks, now it appears that those of us who work hard, try to provide for our families, and save for a rainy day will be the ones most affected by the plan that Congress is attempting to implement...Furthermore...
It appears that we aren't even aware of the details. It has been called a "rescue" plan and lately called a "buy in" program for taxpayers. What are we buying into...? So what does this mean for those who are the poorest and most vulnerable in our society...?
Well, Habakkuk reminds us that injustice was around during his day. He asked many of the same questions we are asking now.
How is that God you see what is going on and yet injustice still happens...?
How is that the rich are not taking the brunt of the burden and the middle class is fronting the cost...?
How is that this can happen and God what is that you are going to do about this...?
Just like in Habakkuk's time, God still grants us the answer...
God is still in control and nothing is happening that God does not know about...
God has already made a way for his children to be provided for...
God has already made a way for those who continually trust in him...
The reality for us is how are we living...? Are we living by what we see or are we living by faith...?
Those who trust in the living God shall live by faith because there is more to life than what we see...Because when we live by faith, we can make it through high gas prices, taxes, a bad economy, injustice, wrong doing, heartache and heartbreak. Faith is the key that unlocks the door...
"If you trust and sure not doubt...God will surely bring you out..."
