power over Satan

How can I have power over Satan. this question seams to be to come up a lot so. I thought I would post this.

James 4:7 says, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” Resist. What does that mean? It certainly doesn’t mean “ignore” or “compromise with.” It is definitely an action and requires an act of will.

The only defense we have against the devil is a right relationship with God, which includes submission to His will. Sin in our lives is like an invitation for the devil to work. When we entertain sin, we effectively shut out the voice of the Holy Spirit, which gives an opportunity for the devil to move in our lives.

When we face the devil on our own power, the situation is hopeless. But, as believers in Christ, we are promised the power of God in our efforts to thwart the plans of the enemy. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you…” (Acts 1:8).

When we are walking in the fullness of the grace of God, the devil will come against us, of that you can be assured. He hates for Christians to be in that place. But, in that fullness of relationship with the Lord is where we can hear Him the most clearly. It is also where we can most clearly recognize the working of the enemy.

The devil works in our lives in the forms of deception, doubt, anger, fear and temptation. He even tempted Jesus in the wilderness. Jesus stood firm on the Word of God, and took authority over Satan: “Away from me, Satan! For it is written…” (Matt. 4:10). Even Jesus wasn’t immune to temptation. The issue is not whether we will face temptation; it is what we will do when we face it. The choice is clear: buckle under the force of evil and submit to the working of the enemy, or claim the power that is before you through Jesus Christ—resist, and conquer.

Lord, I am in agreement to this prayer. Lord, We all are MORE than Conquerors through Your Power in Us. I agree with Shilo, we have only 2 choices. 1) We can TRY to solve our problems on our own, which causes, worry, stress, anxiety, alcohol use, etc, which will ultimately kill you. 2) Give all your Worries, stress, anxiety, strongholds,to The Lord, he died for us to be able to do this, and when we do, we have Soul-Peace and We are Free, with God's Power working in us, what else is needed? It is like when our children have a problem, they come to us, and they don't think another thing about it, knowing we will take care of it. That is How Our Lord wants Us to Believe and Have Faith in him, even when it looks impossible, it isn't with the Lord. Of course, It is much easier said than done, Jesus Never said it would be easy, Jesus Said, It would be worth it.

We will stumble and fall, be tempted, but the Lord will give you a way out of that temptation, and Pick you Back up in his Love and Salvation. Lord, I Praise Your Name!

We must forgive ourselves for our past wrong decisions, Jesus has already forgiven us.

The Lord knows what is best for us all, even if we can't see the Victory, Stand on Our Faith in the Lord, that our Victories are coming, None of us are Perfect, and the Lord knows this, But Our Lord is Perfect, Thank you Lord for all you do for us all, In Jesus Name Amen

Dear Lord please give us the insight and the confidence to know when something comes from You or it is a trick from the evil one.
