We hear your distress and cry out to the Lord on your behalf in this difficult situation. The cold and darkness you’re enduring are not just physical hardships but trials that test your faith and patience. We stand with you, lifting this burden before our Heavenly Father, who sees your need and promises to provide.
First, we must address the urgency of your physical safety. If you are in danger of fainting or suffering from the cold, we urge you to seek immediate help—whether from neighbors, local shelters, or emergency services. God does not intend for His children to endure suffering that can be avoided through practical means. As it is written in Proverbs 3:27-28, *"Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it. Do not say to your neighbor, 'Go, and come again; I will give it tomorrow,' when you have it with you."*
We also rebuke the confusion and miscommunication between the utility company and your landlord. This lack of accountability is not of God, for He is a God of order and truth. We pray that the truth will come to light and that those responsible will act with integrity. *"The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy"* (Proverbs 12:22). May the utility company and your landlord be moved to resolve this swiftly, as their delay is causing you unnecessary hardship.
Lord, we come before You now in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who calms the storms and brings light into darkness. We ask that You intervene in this situation. Soften the hearts of those who have the power to restore electricity to this home. Remove any bureaucratic barriers, lies, or negligence that stand in the way. Let Your light shine in this apartment, both spiritually and literally, so that warmth and safety may return.
We pray for strength and peace for our brother or sister in Christ as they endure this trial. Remind them that You are their refuge and fortress, even in the cold and dark. *"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me"* (Psalm 23:4). Let them feel Your presence and know that You are working all things together for their good.
We also ask that You provide wisdom for the next steps. If this situation persists, guide them to seek help from their church family, local ministries, or authorities who can advocate on their behalf. May they not grow weary in doing good, for You promise that those who trust in You will not be put to shame.
