Beloved of All
Power in Weakness 2 Cor 12:9, Slowness to Anger (Like God is, Ex 34:6), Jam 1:19-27 Tame Tongue Jam 3:2 , Weaknesses are made to Strength by FAITH, Heb 11:34 Goal: 🌾Harvest of Righteousness Heb 12:11...

🙇🏻 "Confess Your Sins to One Another and Pray for One Another that You May Be Healed," James 5:16, "While I Was Confessing My Sins and The Sins of Our Nation," Dan 9:20. Power in Weakness, Boasting in Insults 2 Cor 12:9-10 Slow to Anger Jam 1:19-27 Tame Tongue Jam 3:2 God can Do anything, Lk 18:27, By FAITH from Weaknesses were made Strong Heb 11:34 Goal: Harvest of Righteousness Heb 12:11...

🧎🏽‍♂️"Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.'” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me. That is why, for the sake of Christ, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong," 2 Cor 12:8-10. "The one who tames the tongue controls the whole body," James 3:2, but "No PERSON can tame the tongue," Jam 3:8, "But Jesus said, 'What is impossible with man is POSSIBLE with God,'" Luke 18:27. "By Faith people were from weaknesses were made strong," Heb 11:34, Goal of Trials: "Never pleasant in the present (does not 'seem like' joy, but grief), but later on, yields a harvest of righteousness and peace (it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness) to those who have been trained by submitting to discipline," Heb 12:11, What to Say and How to Say it (the Best Way Possible), Jn 12:49, "The LORD answered the angel who was speaking with me with Gracious words, Comforting words," Zech 1:13.

"While Confessing My Sins and The Sins of My Nation," Daniel 9:20, "If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land," 2 Chronicles 7:14... 🙇🏻 Father, thank You for giving mercy and grace in times of need, Heb 4:16, past and now in present. Though we may yet need grace to confess in the future, we rather prefer to be done with all future sin, and were there a button to push representing that ability to delete all future stumbling prior to their occurring, we'd gladly press it without delay or hesitation (since we all stumble often, specifically with the tongue, James 3:2). Yet since no such button exists, and the best of humanity and even Christians are at best still "human," we are content with what remedy we have, namely the prescription to humbly confess and forsake our sins, and promises of not only that we'll find mercy, Prov 28:13, but cleansing from all unrighteousness, 1 Jn 1:9, and even contentment in Your presence, Heb 13:5, and promises of holiness, which we inherit by faith, Heb 4:2, even promises to do no wrong, 2 Cor 13:7, not stumble in what we say and control the whole body, James 3:2, even to walk as Jesus Himself, 1 Jn 2:6, 1 Jn 4:17. We continue the remedy of our misuse of the instrument of the tongue we were given to glorify God and edify others, in confession and repentance, for sanctification both a one-time act and an ongoing work of participation with the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, Matt 3:8, Phil 2:12-13, 1 Tim 4:16, so we agree with Your admonition to confess our sins to one another and pray for each other that we may be healed, James 5:16 -- maybe that's how through boasting in our weaknesses 2 Cor 12:9 by faith from weaknesses we are made strong, Heb 11:32-34. So in obedience to Your teaching through Hosea, we, "Take words with you, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, 'Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips as bulls" Hos 14:2.

📝 Lord, I've missed Your warnings, not hearkened to Your Voice, Missed Your Spirit's leading, haven't taken the way of escape in every occurrence, 1 Cor 10:13... I've dealt with things unrighteously, sinned and fallen short of Your glorious image, Rom 3:23, Gen 1:27, Matt 5:48, Eph 5:1. I've lacked love, have gotten "in the flesh," have said and typed things in with a mixture of emotions, even in anger, that even if they were true have either lacked love or forgotten the foundation of equality for the sake of Christ, Eph 5:21, maybe both or all of the following: I have done things mixed with pride and empty conceit, and in times of pain have said, spoken, typed, forwarded and done things to further my own interests or unrighteous emotions, rather than considering the interests of others, and lacked the attitude of Christ's humility that prefers my neighbor's advantage, and forgotten to treat others as more important than myself, Phil 2:3-5. Such actions and attitudes that display such mixture tainted with the anger of man do not achieve the righteousness of God, James 1:19-20. Therefore, not using my bodily members as instruments of righteousness consistently, I confess with Isaiah, I've been a man of unclean lips, Isa 6:5, and confess like Peter, I am an unclean man, Luke 5:8.

Since our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them, transgressing and denying Yahweh, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood, Isa 59:12-13, at time, "Surely I have spoken of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know, therefore I despise my sins, and I repent from them in dust and ashes," Job 42:3, Job 42:6. Yet though You've disciplined me severely, You haven't given me over to death, Ps 118:18. I can say with the Psalmist, "It was good for me to be afflicted that I might learn the way of Your Commands," Ps 119:71. Let me make the most of Your discipline, knowing it's end result has many ends in mind, sanctification being a chief one, Even Jesus being the author, ἀρχηγὸν, ultimate architect, pioneer and engineer of our salvation, perfected through suffering, Heb 2:10, on earth and in flesh, the proving ground of obedience, becoming the ultimate fountain of salvation, Heb 5:8-9. Surely, there is One found Worthy, Rev 5:9.

Though beyond human capacity to bear at times tribulation transfers every drop of hope to You alone who raise the dead, 2 Cor 1:8-9, who has helped us and will yet again, others assisting us in prayers, 2 Cor 1:10-11, produces patience leading to maturity that we may also be complete, James 1:2-3, and though not pleasant at present, afterward yields not only perseverance, proven character but an abiding hope that does not disappoint, even granting assurance through The Holy Spirit of Adoption, Rom 5:3-5. May trials yield a harvest of peaceful fruit and righteousness, Heb 12:11, even an everlasting quietness and confidence, Isa 32:17, an everlasting crown of life, James 1:12, and ability to reign with You, as You overcame and reign in truth, humility and justice, Ps 45:4, Rev 3:19-21, Rev 21:7. We ask for grace to renew our minds, Rom 12:2, to rejoice in all these things knowing we are presently blessed and understanding their end is eternal reward, Matt 5:10-12, and that Your Intention is to work it all together for good, Rom 8:28, because You are indeed Gracious and Compassionate, Ex 34:4-5, as we see You were with Job, James 1:12. Let us pray for others and others pray for us knowing You have brought us through trials before, You will do so again, and that prayers are powerful and effective, 2 Cor 1:10-11, especially when we confess our struggles and sins to one another and pray for each other, Your promise is the prayers are powerful and effective, James 5:15-16, even as Elijah's, James 5:17-18... Continued below while abiding in Jesus Christ and His Words, John 15:1-8, and His Life Giving Words of The Holy Spirit, John 6:63, His Name being the only Name given under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, He being the one God and Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in The Power of Attorney given by us His Position and Command, Mt 18:18, we ask in Jesus' Name, John 14:13-14.

We join you in this deep confession and thank God for the honesty and hunger for righteousness you have expressed, and we agree together before the throne of grace in Jesus name.

We hear your heart for power in weakness and we cling to the promise you quoted that He said to us, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness 2 Cor 12:9. We rejoice that when we are weak, then we are strong 2 Cor 12:10 not by our own resolve but because the power of Christ rests on us. We also hear your desire to be slow to anger as God Himself is, for Yahweh, Yahweh, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth Exod 34:6, and we are reminded that every man should be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger James 1:19, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God James 1:20. Your confession about the tongue is biblical and true, for in many things we all stumble. If anyone does not stumble in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also James 3:2, yet we know that no man can tame the tongue James 3:8, but what is impossible with men is possible with God Luke 18:27. That is why we must continually come to Him for grace to speak only what is helpful for building up and to use our members as instruments of righteousness.

We affirm with you the pathway you have named, Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed James 5:16, and If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We also remember He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy Prov 28:13. We agree that sanctification is both a finished work of Christ and an ongoing work as we work out our salvation with fear and trembling while God works in us Phil 2:12-13, learning obedience through suffering and discipline. All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous, yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been exercised thereby Heb 12:11, and this is the harvest you long for, a quiet and confident righteousness that comes from being trained by Him.

We also gently rebuke and correct what you have already confessed, that there have been times of speaking and typing in the flesh, with pride and empty conceit, seeking our own interests and speaking in unrighteous anger, and we agree that such mixture does not achieve the righteousness of God and must be put away. We are called to do nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself Phil 2:3, and to let love govern our words. We must not excuse anger or harsh speech as justified by truth, but speak the truth in love with the gracious and comforting words that reflect our Lord Zech 1:13.

We thank God that you have come in the only name by which we have access to the Father and by which we must be saved, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Tim 2:5. It is only through His blood that we can draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need Heb 4:16.

We pray together now, Father, we humble ourselves as Your people who are called by Your name, we pray and seek Your face and turn from our wicked ways, and we ask You to hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land 2 Chron 7:14. We confess our sins and the sins of our nation as Daniel did Dan 9:20, we confess that we have been men and women of unclean lips Isa 6:5, that we have spoken things we did not understand Job 42:3 and we repent in dust and ashes Job 42:6. Forgive us for not heeding Your warnings and for not taking the way of escape You provided in temptation 1 Cor 10:13. Cleanse us from all unrighteousness, take away all iniquity and receive us graciously Hos 14:2. We ask that by faith we who were weak may be made strong Heb 11:34, that our weakness would be the place where Your strength is perfected. Grant us grace to tame the tongue by Your Spirit, to be slow to anger, to renew our minds Rom 12:2, and to bear the peaceful fruit of righteousness through the discipline You allow. Though at present it is grievous, use it to produce perseverance, proven character and hope that does not disappoint Rom 5:3-5, and to make us complete lacking in nothing James 1:2-4. We trust that You who began a good work will perfect it and that all things work together for good for those who love You Rom 8:28. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We were touched by the honesty in what you shared, that deep longing to be done with sin and to speak and act in a way that truly honors Christ. That tension you named between wanting to walk closely with Jesus and still stumbling, especially with words spoken in anger or haste, is one many believers know well. You are not alone in it.

What encourages us is how you are already leaning into the way God forms us. Becoming holy is not a single moment where we finally get it right, but a slow, ongoing work God does in us as we keep turning to Him. Confession is part of that healing. It is more than feeling sorry, which can leave us stuck, but a change of mind and direction that brings freedom and over time makes the old patterns less attractive. And anger itself is often a signal pointing to something deeper underneath like hurt, frustration or fear that needs the Lord's care.

A gentle next step that may help is to invite one trusted, mature believer to walk with you in this one area specifically. Not a general group, but one person you can be brief and honest with when you have spoken harshly or felt that surge of anger, and who will pray for you as you pray for them. That simple, regular practice of confessing and praying together often does more to tame the tongue than trying to fight it alone.

Father, thank You for Your grace that meets us in weakness. Give our brother courage to keep confessing and turning to You and to receive Your cleansing. Shape his tongue and his heart by Your Spirit, bring a harvest of peace and righteousness in Your timing, and keep him abiding in Jesus. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your confession has been read with thankfulness and with prayer, for it carries the marks of a heart that has been taught by the Spirit to know both its own weakness and the sufficiency of divine grace.

You have quoted it well, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness," and there you have touched the very secret of the Christian life. All strength apart from God is derived strength and is consequently measurable, yes, apart from God it is not strength at all and must come to an end. Some signs of age the creature shows already, but the time will come when all natural strength shall utterly fail. From the eternal deep that lies under, that deep which couches beneath, from that measureless fountain shall you draw strength which all eternity will not exhaust. You are weakness itself, but if you are united to the Divine strength, you shall be infinitely strong. To them that have no might He increases strength. It is not to a Christian's credit that he should remain weak. The glory of a man is his strength and especially his spiritual strength is his honor, and it is for God's glory and for your usefulness that you should be strong in the Lord.

You speak truly of the tongue and of anger. No person can tame the tongue, and what is impossible with man is possible with God. We cannot pray for strength in sinful weakness, as if we would be kept strong while remaining in it, but must earnestly plead for strength to come out of it and to be made strong. This is the blessing faith obtains, "out of weakness were made strong." If you had continued to live by works or by feeling you would have been still as weak as ever, but when you looked out of self to Christ and trusted Him it was then your strength came to you. The same is true of subsequent spiritual weakness. A holy faith gives a holy courage, and the tongue once bound becomes unloosed. Whatever is our strength in the flesh is sure to be our weakness in the spirit, and often natural strength will be toned down by a spiritual weakness, and a natural weakness will be exalted and be made the vehicle and channel for spiritual strength. Therefore lay both your strength and your weakness on one side and give yourself up for God to use you, and you shall renew your strength.

You also desire slowness to anger and that harvest of righteousness and peace of which Hebrews speaks. Know that this harvest does not come without discipline, and discipline is never pleasant in the present, but grievous. As with our bodies, if we suffer long from illness, when the pain is gone there is a dreadful weakness left and we require time to regain strength. Restoration is a long process. The weakened limbs only recover strength by slow degrees. Wonder not if recovery should be slow, and as you grow a little stronger, acknowledge in each increase of strength that the Lord has a new claim upon your affection. Wherein you have seen that you failed, set a double guard upon yourself just there, and ask God to give you grace to keep you with special keeping in that particular point which was your weakness. Whenever you feel that you have something to do that is beyond you, stop a moment and breathe a prayer for more strength. He gives power to the faint, and He intends you to feel your weakness so much that you may importunately pray for His aid and then in the strength which you have gained by prayer may attain to heights of virtue.

You have done well to take words with you and turn to the Lord, saying, "Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously." This is the way of healing, to confess and forsake sin, for he that covers his sin shall not prosper, but whoso confesses and forsakes shall find mercy, and if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Confess your faults one to another and pray one for another that you may be healed, for the prayer of faith is powerful and effectual. Yet remember, man cannot of himself turn away his own eyes from sin, let no man trust to himself. The dead cannot gather strength or walk up and down. While you are yet without strength, believe that Christ died for the ungodly. There is one God and one Mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus, and there is no other name given under heaven by which we must be saved. God is the glory of our strength, and when we are conscious of weakness, then are we truly strong, while we lay the crown at the feet of Him who gave us the strength to win it.

Be encouraged that God is near to help you. He is not hidden away, but His presence fills your life with strength and comfort. He is in you and therefore with you, and if God is near you, infinite resources are near you. You need not be unbelieving, you need not be sorrowful, you need not be afraid. Abide in Christ and in His words, continue in that sanctifying work which is both a finished act and an ongoing participation with the Holy Spirit, working out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God which works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

We pray for you that the Lord who has helped you and will yet again deliver you, who raises the dead and who has shown Himself gracious and compassionate as He did with Job, would grant you renewal of mind, a bridled tongue, a heart slow to anger, and that peaceful fruit of righteousness which comes to those who are trained by His fatherly discipline. May He keep you from falling and present you faultless, and may His joy be your strength until you appear before Him in Zion.
