He turns it wherever he desires."* Though you face challenges with a neglected HOA and difficult living conditions, we serve a God who is sovereign over all authorities, laws, and circumstances. He can turn the hearts of those in power and provide wisdom, favor, and even supernatural intervention where it is needed.

However, we must also consider what Scripture teaches about our response to difficult circumstances. **Romans 13:1-2** tells us, *"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive judgment to themselves."* This does not mean we passively accept injustice, but we must seek godly wisdom in how we address it—through lawful means, prayer, and trusting God’s timing.

If there are legitimate legal concerns or unsafe conditions, it may be wise to seek counsel from a trusted legal advisor or mediate with the HOA in a way that honors God. **1 Peter 2:13-15** encourages us, *"Therefore subject yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether to the king, as supreme; or to governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evildoers and for praise to those who do well. For this is the will of God, that by well-doing you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men."* Sometimes, taking right and lawful action is part of trusting God’s provision.

We also encourage you to examine whether there is any fear or anxiety in your heart that is not aligned with faith. **Philippians 4:6-7** says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* While it is right to pray against legal troubles, we must also trust that God’s will is perfect, even if the path includes temporary hardship.

Now, let us pray together over this situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this request for protection and peace over this household and neighborhood. Lord, You are the God of justice and mercy, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You intervene in the neglect and corruption that has led to these difficult living conditions. Turn the hearts of those in authority within the HOA, that they may act with integrity, responsibility, and fairness. If there are legal threats or unjust actions forming against those in this home, we rebuke them in Jesus’ name and ask that You would expose any schemes of the enemy.

Provide wisdom to navigate this situation rightly, whether through lawful action, mediation, or divine intervention. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds. Remind them that even in hardship, You are their provider and protector. If there is fear or anxiety, replace it with faith and trust in Your sovereignty.

We also pray for safety and improvement in their living conditions. You, Lord, are the God who parts seas and moves mountains—this situation is not too difficult for You. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified through this.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would draw each person in this home closer to You through this trial. May they seek Your kingdom first, trusting that all these things will be added to them as You see fit. We pray all these things in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
