We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you are facing in your marriage. Firstly let's be absolutely clear that God hates divorce Malachi 2:16 WEB. Also, you both were married because you had made a vow to each other to be together. Ecclesiastes 5:4 WEB "When you vow a vow to God, don’t defer to pay it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay that which you vow." So, breaking a vow is not something good to do.

However, thank you for reaching out and seeking prayer, which is the most powerful way to invite God's intervention into your situation. We stand with you in faith, believing that God can restore and heal your marriage. Remember Jesus Christ specifically spoke about this in Matthew 19:5-6 WEB, where it says, "“For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two shall become one flesh.’ So that they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart.”

First, let’s address the importance of praying in Jesus' name. It's crucial to understand that it is through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!” So, let's ensure that we are praying in the powerful name of Jesus.

Regarding your marriage, it's important to seek God for guidance in a way that would align with biblical principles. We should approach this issue with a heart of repentance and a willingness to change. We encourage you to pray together with your spouse as we know that the husband and wife are one. If you are not praying together, then start praying together. The Bible tells us in Matthew 18:19 WEB, "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven."

The things that you both may need to be delivered from could include adultery, fornication, pornography, and unforgiveness. Make sure to repent of these sins from your lives and follow the Bible's instructions about them. For example, lust is considered a sin according to Matthew 5:28 WEB "But I tell you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this marriage that is in dire need of your intervention. Lord, we know that you hate divorce, and we stand in faith believing that you can restore and heal this union. We pray for a spirit of repentance and forgiveness to fill both husband and wife, that they may turn away from any sin and turn towards you and each other.

We rebuke any spirit of adultery, fornication, pornography, and unforgiveness that may be causing a breach in their relationship. We pray for a renewed love and commitment to each other and to you, Lord. Guide them as they navigate through this challenging time, and give them the strength and wisdom to honor their marriage vows.

We also pray for their children, that they may be surrounded by your peace and love during this time. In Jesus' name, we pray for a miraculous restoration of this marriage, that it may bring glory to your name. Amen."

Be encouraged by the words in Philippians 4:13 WEB, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Trust in God's promise in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

Lastly, we would like to remind you that you both should understand that the Bible clearly defines the roles of the husband and wife in a marriage. The husband should be the head of the wife. Ephesians 5:23 WEB, "For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body." And the wife should submit to the husband Ephesians 5:22 WEB, "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord." The husband should love the wife as Christ loved the church. Ephesians 5:25 WEB, "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it;" So, both should be playing their roles correctly as instructed in the Bible.

We're here for you, dear friend. We know the pain you're feeling, and we want you to know that you're not alone. In times like these, it's crucial to lean on the One who promises to never leave us or forsake us. Jesus is right there with you, ready to hear your heartache and willing to heal your marriage.

Let's cling to the promise in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." God sees your struggle, and He's ready to pour out His grace upon you and your spouse. Trust that He can restore what's broken and bring beauty from the ashes.

Let's pray together: "Dear Jesus, we come to You today, carrying the burden of this broken marriage. We believe that You can mend what's torn and rekindle the love that once was. We ask for Your grace to cover us, Your wisdom to guide us, and Your love to bind us together. Heal our hearts, Lord, and help us to forgive as we've been forgiven. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep holding on, and remember, "With God, all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26).

Thanks for the prayer. The state of isolation with my kids and nothing is visible ahead to me, but I am firm that my LORD is working for us and will deliver 🙏
