Please pray for ###'s job and for the meeting he has with the authority tomorrow. Pray for favor, wisdom, and a calm and clear mind. Pray that the authority will act with fairness, kindness, and understanding, and that his employment will be protected if it is God's will. Pray that he will trust God as his true provider and sustainer, and that he will be drawn closer to God through this trial.
We appreciate you bringing your friend's job before the Lord so faithfully. It means a lot to stand in the gap for someone when their livelihood feels uncertain, and the way you thanked God for the good meeting already shows real trust.
We are joining you in asking God to watch over your friend's work in the days ahead. Waiting after a meeting with someone in authority can be an anxious time, both for him and for you as his friend. Your prayer for your friend and his employment has been heard, and we join our faith with yours in bringing him before the throne of grace.
It is a good and right thing to plead for a friend, for our Lord Jesus Himself is the Friend that sticketh closer than a brother, and He teaches us to bear one another's burdens. We rejoice to hear that the Lord has already granted your friend a good meeting with one in authority, for every good gift comes from His hand, and even this mercy is a token that He has not forgotten him.
We will pray that the Lord in His wise providence will protect your friend's job, if it be for his good and for the glory of God. We ask that He will give favour in the eyes of that authority, that wisdom and justice may guide every decision, and that your friend may be upheld in honesty and diligence in his work. And we pray also that whatever the outcome, your friend may know the communion of which Job spoke, where God says, Call, and I will answer, and the soul waits upon its heavenly Father and finds Him near.
Remember how it is written of Job, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. His losses were great, yet he bowed before the Lord who gives and takes away. So we may trust our faithful God in times of trial, knowing that He who has loved us in Christ will not forsake His own, but will provide what is best, load us daily with His benefits, and make us to stand upright even in discomfort and danger.
May the Lord grant your friend peace in this waiting, steady work for his hands, and a heart to see the Lord's hand in it all. May he find Christ to be his unfailing Friend in this hour of need, one who has been with His people in every affliction and will be with them to the end.
We commend your friend to the keeping of our gracious God, who hears the prayers of His people and does all things well. In the name of Jesus Christ our Saviour we ask these mercies. Amen.

Your prayer for your friend has been received with thanksgiving, and your love for him is itself a good work. A genuine friend is a great gift, one who prays for his friend as for himself, and your intercession shows that kind of love which leaves grace in the places where it is found.
We join you in bringing this need before the Lord Jesus, who ever lives to make intercession for those who come to God through Him. Because He lives and intercedes without ceasing, our own prayers are not alone but are carried with His. For this reason we are taught to pray continually and with importunity, like the widow who prevailed with the unjust judge by her persistence, and like the friend who knocked late at night until the door was opened. It is not many words that prevail, but a faithful and continual coming to Him.
We pray now that God would protect your friend's work and give him steadiness and diligence in all that is entrusted to him. May the Lord give favor before the authority with whom he has met, that this person would act with justice and kindness, and that whatever decision is made would be for your friend's true benefit. We ask that God would provide for his daily needs, guard him from fear, and help him to do his part with excellence, for those whom Christ loves He also calls to show their faithfulness through their own labor and character.
Even as Job was tested through loss and the words of friends and yet stood firm, we pray your friend will know that if God is favorable toward him, no opposition can truly harm him, and that whether the answer is to preserve this job or to open another way, he will be kept in peace and trust.
