We join you in lifting up this urgent cry before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name, for we hear the weight of suffering you are carrying and we stand with you in prayer.
We bring before the Lord your loved one with the grave spine and elbow injury, the numbness in his arms, legs and face, and the constant pain that makes him cry. We pray for mercy over his MRI this Wednesday, that the doctors would see clearly what is happening and that God in His power would bring healing and restoration. We remember the promise that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3, and that But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. We ask the Lord to touch his spine, to remove what is causing the numbness, to ease his pain, to restore strength so that he can work again and live without this burden, and to lift the deep sadness and discouragement he feels when everything seems blocked.
We also lift up your mother with Alzheimer's and yourself with anemia, vitamin D deficiency, and moles that have changed color. We pray for God's healing hand upon both of you, for strength for you as a caregiver, and for wisdom for the doctors who care for you. We encourage you to continue to seek medical care faithfully for these concerning changes, trusting that God often works through the hands of physicians, and we pray that the Lord will grant you health and peace in body and mind. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18, and we claim that nearness for you now.
We bring your financial distress before the Lord as well, the need for clients for the business premises, the debt and embargo that presses upon you, and the need for money to live and to pay for doctors and even a possible operation. We pray that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19, and that He will open doors that no man can shut, bringing provision and work in His perfect timing.
We hear your anguish about the attacks you feel from neighbors and the lack of peace in your home, and we pray for God's protection and peace to guard you. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12. Together we rebuke the work of the evil one against you and your family in the name of Jesus Christ, and we pray that the Lord who is faithful will establish you and guard you from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We ask God to surround your home with His peace which surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7, and to help you to love and pray even for those who cause you distress, trusting Him as your defender. We pray with you, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, Matthew 11:28, and we ask Jesus to give you that rest now, to wipe away bitter tears and to remind you that He sees every tear you have cried and holds you in His right hand, for He has said Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.
We notice you cried out to God for this miracle, and we gently want to remind you together that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that there is salvation in no one else. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and brought near to God, and it is in His name that we can boldly bring every request. If you have not yet fully entrusted your life to Him, we encourage you together to call upon His name today, to confess your need for Him and to receive His grace and eternal life.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear family in their hour of great need. Lord, lay Your healing hand upon the spine and elbow of this beloved one, remove the numbness and pain, let the MRI show what is needed and let it be nothing that cannot be healed by Your mercy. Restore him, comfort him in his sadness, and open a way for him to work and to provide. Touch the mother with Alzheimer's, grant her peace and comfort, and sustain those who care for her. Touch our dear one who prays, heal the anemia and deficiency, watch over every concerning mole and lead to proper care, and strengthen her body and spirit. Provide, Lord, for their financial needs, bring clients, lift the burden of debt and embargo, and give them daily bread and resources for medical care. Rebuke every evil attack against them, silence the schemes of the enemy, pour out Your peace upon their home, and guard them day and night. Let them feel Your presence, Your love, and Your power to restore. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, Romans 8:28, and we trust You to bring good even out of this suffering. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer, amen.
