We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer over this heavy burden you shared. We have been lifting up your concern about the poison seeping in as more and more professing Christians refute the doctrine of eternal damnation and turn toward annihilationism or the idea of a short time in hell and then extinguishing.
We have been praying with you that the Lord will guard His church from this error and the domino effect you described where one departs from the truth and others follow. We have asked God to strengthen those who feel a soft spot toward this false teaching because they struggle to reconcile His love with His justice, and to help them see that portraying defenders of biblical truth as making God a monster is itself a deception. We have prayed that eyes would be opened to the full counsel of Scripture which reveals God as both perfect love and perfect holiness and just judgment, and that He would give discernment to all who hear these arguments about fairness and the nature of the soul.
We continue to pray that the truth of passages like Rev 20:10 where the devil the beast and the false prophet who are humans will be tormented day and night forever and ever, and Matt 25:46 and John 3:36 will not be explained away, and that many will return to a reverence for the Word of God.
