I was thinking today to see if I can find my poetry online today, discovered a few main themes in all, peace, love, and God. I wrote them all 21 years or younger I believe.
I know what I want, are my feelings too strong?
or the feeling you place in my heart,
are they all wrong?
I don't want to wait any longer,
I want my life to be better,
my heart to grow stronger.
I want someone who is true, and I can adore
I will only then submit myself to him,
then I will be faithful to him forevermore.
Who is this person? you know of his name,
do we live in different states?
or do we live in the same?
did we ever go to the same store,
have I ever seen, or met him before?
How does he smile? what is his laugh?
is he a sensitive person,
does he cry, when he gets really sad?
Is he superficial, or is he between
will he fall in love with my beauty,
or will I look normal when we meet.
This one I called a Letter to God desiring Love and speaking to our creator. Another poem I wrote called Soul Yearning is below:
My body is tired, my soul is drained.
I can't feel the spark from the fire,
that lives within my soul,
or feel the burn inside my spirit,
from its eternal flame.
If my body was now pierced or bleeding,
I would not feel the pain.
My soul does not want to dance,
for it is too weak.
My spirit does not want to sing,
for there is no reason to be happy.
What does my soul seek?
does it seek rest?
does it seek peace?
Yes it wants to see world beauty
it wants to see pleasure and harmony,
in everything GOD created,
in everything it now sees.
Here is my last example:
I dream of a day,
when this world will be a much better place.
where no hatred or crime,
dwell within any person's mind.
and the streets will be all safe,
so mothers would not worry,
when their children go out and play.
No more school shootings,
because the kids will all fit in,
there will be no more bullies,
so it won't be hard to make a friend.
There are no broken homes,
or any type of child abuse,
there are no alcoholics,
or any form of addictive drugs used.
There are no more wars,
or people that are homeless,
and our world will come together as one,
one nation that is truly blessed.
Pray for us all, and hopefully soon we will see more peace and love, if not on earth then in our eternal home heaven!!!!!!!
