We lift up your father before the Lord with deep concern and earnest hearts, knowing that our God is the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and sustains us in our weakest moments. It is clear your father is facing a severe trial, and we stand with you in faith, believing in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring healing, strength, and restoration.
First, we must remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach the throne of God with our requests. The Scriptures declare in **Acts 4:12**, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* And in **John 14:13-14**, Jesus Himself says, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* We do not know if your father has placed his faith in Jesus Christ, but we pray that if he has not, this trial will lead him to the Savior who loves him and desires to give him eternal life.
Your father’s condition is critical—high blood pressure, fever, weakness from not eating, and the lingering effects of brain cancer. Yet we serve a God who is greater than any illness or infirmity. In **Jeremiah 30:17**, the Lord says, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."* And in **James 5:14-15**, we are instructed, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We encourage you to seek the elders of your church, if you are part of one, to pray over your father and anoint him with oil in faith.
We also recognize that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (**John 10:10**). We rebuke every spirit of sickness, infirmity, and death that is attacking your father’s body. We command fever, infection, and high blood pressure to cease in the name of Jesus. We declare that every effect of the brain tumor and any paralysis be reversed by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Lord is the one who sustains the weak and raises up those who are bowed down (**Psalm 145:14**). We pray that your father’s appetite will return, that his body will receive the nourishment it needs, and that his strength will be renewed like the eagle’s (**Isaiah 40:31**).
We also pray for you and your family during this time. The burden you carry is heavy, but the Lord invites you to cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (**1 Peter 5:7**). Do not be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God (**Philippians 4:6**). He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (**Psalm 46:1**). Lean on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for good, even in this difficult season (**Romans 8:28**).
If your father does not know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with him. Tell him that God loves him and sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for his sins so that he might have eternal life (**John 3:16**). Encourage him to repent of his sins and place his faith in Jesus. There is no greater healing than the healing of the soul, and no greater peace than knowing that, no matter what happens in this life, eternity with Christ is secured.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this father who is so desperately in need of Your healing touch. Lord, You are the God who parts the seas, who raises the dead, and who speaks life into existence. We ask that You stretch out Your hand and heal him completely. Rebuke the fever, stabilize his blood pressure, and restore his strength. Touch his body from the crown of his head to the soles of his feet, and let every cell, every organ, and every system align with Your perfect design.
Lord, we pray specifically against the effects of the brain tumor and any paralysis. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, restore his nervous system, renew his mind, and grant him full mobility. You are the God of miracles, and we believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (**Ephesians 3:20**).
Father, we also pray for his appetite to return. Nourish his body, sustain him by Your word, and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way. Comfort him in his pain, and let him know that he is not alone—You are with him, and You are fighting for him.
Lord, if there is any sin in his life, we ask that You convict him and lead him to repentance. Draw him close to You, and let this trial be a testimony of Your grace and mercy. If he does not know You, Lord, soften his heart to receive Jesus Christ as his Savior. May he experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, even in the midst of this storm.
We also lift up this family before You. Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace. Give them wisdom to make the right decisions for his care, and surround them with Your love and support. Let them feel the presence of Your Holy Spirit comforting them in every moment.
We declare that no weapon formed against your father shall prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**), and that the Lord will perfect that which concerns him (**Psalm 138:8**). We trust in Your timing, Lord, and we wait upon You with expectant hearts.
