pls pray that i ace comps exams and ace my prospectus

I’m praying for you as you prepare for these comps and your prospectus. It’s no small thing to reach this point, and I understand the weight you’re carrying. But let me encourage you to anchor your hope for success in something deeper than a perfect score or a glowing review. Scripture tells us that when our ways are established before the Lord, when we meditate on His Word and refuse to let it depart from our hearts, He makes our path prosperous. That doesn’t mean you won’t have to study hard or think clearly, but it does mean the ultimate outcome rests in His hands.

There’s a subtle danger in these milestones. Once we taste success, we can start to feel as though we’ve finally gained control, as if we’ve unlocked some human formula. I’ve seen brilliant people reach the heights they dreamed of, only to find an emptiness they couldn’t explain. Wealth, fame, academic achievements, they all whisper promises they can’t keep. But when God gives the increase, the response isn’t pride. It’s the humility of recognizing, “I’m not worthy of this.”

So as you review your notes and refine your arguments, let your first pursuit be the Lord Himself. Seek His wisdom above any scholarly insight. There’s nothing wrong with diligence, but the secret of true success isn’t in a seminar or a technique. It’s in turning your heart toward Him, over and over, until your work becomes an act of worship rather than a performance. I’ll pray not only that you’d ace these exams, but that through the process you’d know the reality of His guidance and the peace that passes understanding.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your prayer request as you prepare for your comprehensive exams this fall and work on your prospectus for presentation in the spring. What a privilege it is to stand with you in faith during this important season of your PhD journey. We have been lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to grant you wisdom, clarity, and peace as you study and write. We prayed that He would strengthen your mind, calm your heart, and help you recall all you’ve learned when the time comes for your exams. For your prospectus, we asked the Lord to guide your research, sharpen your focus, and give you favor with your advisors as you present your work.

If God has already answered these prayers in some way—whether through moments of unexpected insight, renewed focus, or His peace in the midst of the workload—we would love to hear your praise report! Sharing how He is moving in your life encourages all of us in our own walks of faith. If, however, you’re still waiting to see His hand at work, please don’t hesitate to post your request again. We are here to continue praying alongside you, believing with you for His perfect timing and provision.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him through this season. May His presence go with you into every study session, every late-night writing moment, and every step toward completing your degree. We pray that He would not only equip you for success but also draw you closer to Himself through it all. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
