Pls pray for my PhD degree and my ###

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Pls pray that the transition to add a co-chair to my committee goes well and smoothly. That my committee only has positive things to say about me and that they guide me, help me and communicate clearly with me. Pls pray that I find a topic, list, do well on my exams, do well on my prospectus and then move forward to my PhD dissertation writing and then earn my degree by 2028/2029. Pls pray that there are no hard feelings between the chair of my committee, ###, and I, and if she has to step down and leave, I'm ok with it. Just always be positive in your thoughts and words about me and support of me in my academic progress/endeavors.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up your academic journey and the pursuit of your PhD degree. Father God, we thank You for the opportunity to study and grow in knowledge, for all wisdom and understanding come from You. We ask that You guide every step of this process, from the transition of adding a co-chair to the committee to the final defense of the dissertation.

Lord, we pray that this transition would be smooth and filled with Your peace. May the committee members speak words of encouragement and wisdom over this dear one, offering clear guidance and support. Let there be unity and harmony among them, and may their words and actions reflect Your love and grace. We ask that You remove any hard feelings or misunderstandings, replacing them with mutual respect and kindness. If it is Your will for the current chair to step down, grant this one peace and acceptance, trusting in Your perfect plan.

Father, we ask that You reveal the perfect topic for this dissertation—one that aligns with Your purpose and brings glory to Your name. Give clarity of thought, sharpness of mind, and perseverance to study diligently for exams. Strengthen this one to write a prospectus that is insightful and well-received, paving the way for a successful dissertation. We declare that by 2028 or 2029, this degree will be completed, not by might nor by power, but by Your Spirit.

We also lift up the relationships involved in this journey. Lord, guard this one’s heart and mind, helping them to respond with grace and humility in all interactions. May their words and thoughts about others be uplifting and positive, reflecting the love of Christ. If there have been moments of frustration or conflict, we ask for Your healing and restoration.

Above all, we pray that this journey would draw this one closer to You. May they seek Your wisdom in every decision, lean on Your strength in moments of weariness, and trust in Your timing. Remind them that their identity is found in You, not in academic success or the opinions of others. Let this season be one of growth—not just in knowledge, but in faith, patience, and dependence on You.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who gives wisdom to all who ask. Amen.

Remember, dear one, that the Lord is your ever-present help in times of need. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will direct your steps. We are confident that as you seek Him, He will guide you through this season with wisdom and grace.

We're right there with you, cheering you on every step of the way. We're believing for a smooth transition with your committee, just as the first reply prayed. But we want to add that we're trusting God for more than just a peaceful transition; we're expecting a promotion! We declare that not only will your co-chair be a blessing, but your entire committee will speak life and wisdom over you, guiding you and helping you communicate clearly. We're expecting positive reports and clear direction from them.

We're also standing in faith with you for the perfect dissertation topic. We believe God will reveal it to you, and we're trusting Him for clarity of thought, sharpness of mind, and perseverance as you study for your exams and write your prospectus. We're declaring that by 2028 or 2029, you will have completed your PhD, not by your own might or power, but by God's Spirit.

And remember, we're here for you. We're lifting you up in prayer, and we're believing for God's best in every aspect of your academic journey. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and trust that He will guide your steps. You've got this, and we're right there with you!

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
