Pls pray for me

Please pray for me. To heal from my sickness, I have lost my voice this week, coughing and flu and fever, couldn't sleep well. Please help me to recover from sickness. Also, recently I heard accidentally that my crush has married. I'm very sad and disappointed to know someone I admired for his qualities and even his appearance but is no longer available. I kinda feel stupid to not know earlier because I didn't probe anything about him earlier from my colleagues. The issue is, I still need to face him, by text mostly, on work, but I really felt sad about this. I don't know much about him because we only contact for work and hadn't been given a chance to see him after that since I met him when I just entered this job scope 6 months ago. It happened 2 days ago when I was still sick and back to work. I felt stupid because I didn't realize he could be married already. I pray that God take away my sadness and bitterness, my desires since it is not meant for me. But I'm also really hopeless that if I still can meet someone better than him, that I will admire but love me at the same time without confusion. It's not easy for me, when I felt someone thinking at my level, respect and competent, professional. I don't know how to face him after this, feels like escaping honestly to forget about this, but it was only after years of being undervalued by my colleagues, I met someone professional directly working, you know he has work ethics, though he is already a senior maybe 5 years older. I really need help to pray for me on this. Thank you for your kind help. Today I even went to church grieving for this because I can feel I'm very emotional.

We lift you up before the Lord, dear sister, asking for His healing touch upon your body. You are battling sickness—loss of voice, cough, flu, and fever—and we stand with you in prayer, believing that our God is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals. The Word assures us, *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:14-15). We pray that your strength is renewed, your voice restored, and your body healed completely. May the Lord grant you restful sleep and peace as you recover, for He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2).

We also come before the Lord with your heartache over the news of your colleague’s marriage. It is understandable to feel sadness when a desire of your heart is unfulfilled, especially when you admired his qualities and professionalism. Yet we must gently remind you that your feelings, though real, were rooted in something that was never yours to claim. The Lord calls us to guard our hearts diligently, for *"the heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?"* (Jeremiah 17:9). Your longing for a godly spouse is not wrong—God designed marriage to be a blessing—but we must trust His timing and His wisdom, even when it does not align with our own desires.

We rebuke the spirit of hopelessness that whispers you may never find someone who meets your standards or loves you as you deserve. That is a lie from the enemy. The Lord has not forgotten you, nor has He abandoned you. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says the Lord, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11). Your worth is not found in the opinions of others, nor in the fleeting admiration of a man, but in Christ alone. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and the Lord delights in you.

We must also address the temptation to escape or avoid this colleague. While it is natural to feel discomfort, the Lord calls us to walk in integrity, even in difficult circumstances. *"Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one"* (Colossians 4:6). You can honor God in your interactions by maintaining professionalism, kindness, and self-control. Do not allow bitterness or resentment to take root, for *"looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it"* (Hebrews 12:15). Instead, ask the Lord to help you see this man as a brother in Christ (if he is a believer) or as a fellow image-bearer of God, deserving of respect and grace.

We also encourage you to examine your heart regarding the years of feeling undervalued. While it is painful to be overlooked, the Lord sees your struggles and your faithfulness. *"For the eyes of the Lord run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him"* (2 Chronicles 16:9). Do not let past wounds define your future. The Lord is your vindicator, and He will lift you up in due time. Seek His validation above all else, for *"the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart"* (1 Samuel 16:7).

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your faithfulness and Your love, which never fails. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon our sister. Restore her voice, ease her cough, and break the fever that troubles her. Grant her restful sleep and renewed strength, for You are the God who heals.

Father, we lift up her heartache to You. Comfort her in her disappointment, and help her to release this man into Your hands. We ask that You take away any lingering sadness, bitterness, or ungodly desires, replacing them with Your peace and Your truth. Remind her that her worth is found in You alone, and that You have a plan for her life—one that includes hope, joy, and a future.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and declare that You are her provider. We pray for a godly spouse for her, a man who will love her as Christ loves the Church, who will honor You in their marriage, and who will cherish her as a gift from You. Prepare her heart to receive this blessing in Your perfect timing.

Help her to face this colleague with grace and professionalism. Guard her heart from bitterness and resentment, and fill her with Your love and compassion. Heal the wounds of feeling undervalued, and remind her that You see her, You know her, and You delight in her.

Father, we ask that You draw her closer to You during this time. Let her find her identity, her security, and her hope in Christ alone. Strengthen her faith, deepen her trust in You, and fill her with Your joy.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Spend time in worship, for the Lord inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). Allow Him to speak to you through Scripture, and let His truth renew your mind. Consider journaling your prayers and thoughts, for the Lord often speaks in the quiet moments of reflection.

You are not alone in this journey. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Trust in Him, lean on Him, and allow His peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). The best is yet to come, dear sister, for the Lord is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful that you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand with you in prayer during this challenging time. Your honesty about both your physical sickness and the deep emotional pain you’re carrying has touched us, and we have continued to lift you before the Lord, asking Him to bring healing to your body and peace to your spirit.

We pray that by now, you are beginning to feel the relief of restored health—may your voice return, your cough subside, and your strength be renewed. But even more, we pray that the Lord has begun to mend the ache in your heart. It’s clear how much this revelation has weighed on you, and we ask God to replace your sadness with His comfort, your disappointment with His hope, and your confusion with His clarity. You are not stupid for admiring someone who embodied the qualities you value—kindness, professionalism, and respect—and it’s understandable that this loss feels heavy, especially after years of feeling undervalued. But we believe God sees your worth, and He is not done writing your story.

As you navigate these next steps—whether it’s facing this person at work, processing your grief, or simply finding the courage to move forward—we pray that the Holy Spirit would guide you. May He remind you that your value isn’t defined by another’s availability, but by His unshakable love for you. And though it feels impossible now, we ask God to open your eyes to the future He has planned, one where you are cherished, respected, and loved—not just by someone who meets your standards, but by the One who set those standards in your heart.

If the Lord has already begun to answer these prayers—whether through physical healing, emotional relief, or a fresh sense of His presence—we would love to celebrate with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together! But if the burden still feels heavy, or if the road ahead still seems unclear, we encourage you to post this request again. We are here to keep praying, keep believing, and keep standing with you until you see God’s faithfulness in every area of your life.

May He bless you with His peace that surpasses understanding, and may you feel His nearness in a tangible way as you continue to seek Him. In Jesus’ Name, we pray.
