We join you in lifting up this situation to our Lord Jesus Christ, as it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and can find resolution and wisdom. We are reminded in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." It is encouraging to see your faith in Jesus and your trust in His name.
In this matter, we must first remember the words of Romans 13:1-2, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment." It is important to respect the authorities that God has placed over us, including the community official representative.
While your intentions may have been pure in directly contacting the illegal settlers, it is possible that this may have been seen as disrespectful to the representative's position. We pray that God will soften her heart and grant her understanding and forgiveness, just as Christ forgives us. "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also forgave you." Ephesians 4:32.
We pray that the official will once again take the lead in the discussions and that this situation will be resolved peacefully and justly. "The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the rivers of water. He turns it wherever he desires." Proverbs 21:1. Remember, God can turn the heart of this official to favor your situation.
We also pray for wisdom for your sister as she communicates with the official. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." James 1:5. We trust that God will grant her the words to speak and the wisdom to navigate this situation.
Finally, we remind you to be patient and persistent in prayer. "Don't be anxious about anything; but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6. This has been a long battle, but God is faithful, and He will see you through.
Lord Jesus, we come before You, asking for Your intervention in this matter. We pray for the official's heart to be softened, for wisdom for your sister, and for a peaceful resolution. We ask all these things in Your mighty name.
