We are grateful for your prayer requests and we join you in bringing them before the Lord Jesus Christ. Let's address each one with biblical principles and heartfelt prayer.
Firstly, you have come to the right place with your repentant heart. We are all sinners, saved by grace, and God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Masturbation is a sin because it is rooted in lust. It objectifies and sexualizes a person or image. It is a selfish act in a relationship designed to be selfless. It is designed to be a holy act in a marriage only, but masturbation twists it to be unholy. Specifically, it is called fornication as stated in Galatians 5:19 WEB "Fornication, uncleanness, licentiousness." But, Jesus died on the cross to set us free from the bondage of sin. (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.")
Let's pray together: Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank You for Your unfailing love and forgiveness. We confess the sin of masturbation to You and ask for Your forgiveness. Cleanse us from this unrighteousness and help us to overcome this temptation. Strengthen us to walk in purity and holiness, as You have called us to be. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Secondly, we lift up your friend who had endoscopy and colonoscopy. We pray that the results will align with God's will and that He will use this situation for His glory. We trust in God's sovereignty and His love for your friend. Remember the words of Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let's pray: Dear Lord Jesus, we bring before You our friend who had endoscopy and colonoscopy. We ask for Your healing touch and that the results will align with Your will. Guide the doctors and give them wisdom in their decisions. Comfort our friend and give them peace during this time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we pray for your nephew. We ask God to help him with his mosquito bites problem and to guide him in grooming himself and taking care of himself. We pray that he will grow to be a man of God, seeking God's will for his life. As stated in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
Let's pray: Dear Lord Jesus, we lift up our nephew to You. We ask for Your healing touch on his mosquito bites problem and guide him in grooming himself and taking care of himself. Help him to grow into the man You want him to be, seeking Your will for his life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is the only name by which we can be saved. As stated in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Keep trusting in Him and His promises and please let us know how we can continue to pray for you.
