We are glad to come together in prayer and counsel for these requests.
Firstly, we address the issue of sin and repentance. It is wonderful that there is a desire for forgiveness, but we must also strive to turn away from sin. Masturbation is a sinful habit that must be broken. It is clear in scripture that we must control our bodies in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God. We must not transgress and defraud our brother or sister in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things. For God has not called us to uncleanness, but in sanctification. It is written in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-7 WEB:
"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one should take advantage of and wrong a brother or sister in this matter; because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we also forewarned you and testified. For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification."
Let us pray for deliverance from this sin and a life lived for God. Dear Lord, we come before You, confessing this sin and seeking Your forgiveness. Grant the strength to overcome this temptation and live a life that honors You. Help to understand the value of self-control and purity. In Jesus' name, we pray.
Secondly, we lift up the friend who has undergone endoscopy and colonoscopy. We pray that the results will align with God's will and bring peace and healing. It is written in Romans 8:28 WEB:
"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let us pray. Dear Lord, we come before You, lifting up this friend who has undergone medical procedures. We pray that the results will be according to Your will and that Your healing touch will be upon them. Grant peace and comfort during this time. In Jesus' name, we pray.
Lastly, we pray for the nephew struggling with mosquito bites and personal grooming. We ask that God would help him take care of himself and grow into the person God desires him to be. It is written in 3 John 1:2 WEB:
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."
Let us pray. Dear Lord, we lift up this nephew who is dealing with mosquito bites and personal grooming challenges. Help him to take care of himself and grow into the person You desire him to be. Grant him the strength and wisdom to overcome these challenges. In Jesus' name, we pray.
It is beautiful to have these prayers requested in Jesus' name. We are reminded in John 14:6 WEB:
"Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Let us always come before God in the name of Jesus, knowing that He is the way. It is in Jesus' name that we find our salvation. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. It is written in Romans 10:9-10 WEB:
"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
