We join you in bringing this frustrating and prolonged need before the Lord, and we understand how difficult it must be to go three months without water in your kitchen while waiting for repairs. We pray with you that God will move on the hearts of those in authority and provide the help you need quickly.
We lift up the HOA to the Lord and ask for wisdom and diligence on their behalf, that they would act promptly and responsibly. We pray they will find a reliable and excellent contractor to uninstall and reinstall the cabinet and a reliable and excellent plumber to complete the repairs, and that the work would be done with skill and integrity. We ask God to open the right doors and to remove any obstacles or delays that have held this up for so long.
We are reminded of the comfort of Psalm 55:22, Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. And Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We pray that peace over you as you wait, and we trust Romans 8:28 that God works all things together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose, even in trying circumstances like this.
We also want to gently encourage you about the foundation of our prayers. We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to share why we pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by placing our faith in Jesus, believing He died for our sins and rose again, that we are reconciled to God and our prayers are heard. We encourage you to call upon His name and trust Him not only for this practical need but for eternal life.
We pray together now, Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this need for running water and kitchen restoration. Lord, You see the months of waiting and the inconvenience and hardship this has caused. We ask You to stir the HOA to act now with urgency and care, and to lead them to honest, skilled workers who will do excellent work at a fair price. Grant the contractor and plumber wisdom and ability as it says in James 1:5, that if any lacks wisdom, they may ask of You who gives generously. We have heard your burden and we join with you in prayer before the throne of grace concerning this long trial of three months without water and the need for kitchen repairs.
To wait is itself a trial, and you have felt it keenly. The Scripture speaks of a patience that waits for the fulfillment of promise, the patience of Abraham and of Job, not the patience of one who cannot complain, but the patience of a child who believes in his Father's love. You have heard of the patience of Job, who was greatly tried and yet sustained, and we pray that the same God who sustained him will sustain you now. The Lord waits that He may be gracious, and His waiting is full of mercy, and He teaches His people also to wait upon Him in hope, for waiting upon God is the way to renew strength.
We pray earnestly for you in this matter.
Heavenly Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ that Thou wouldst move upon those who have responsibility in this homeowners association, that they would act promptly and faithfully. Provide, we pray, a reliable and excellent contractor to uninstall and reinstall the cabinet and complete the kitchen repairs, and a reliable and excellent plumber to restore the water. Thank you for sharing this burden and for allowing us to pray with you. To go three months without running water in your kitchen is a real hardship, and it is understandable that you are weary from waiting and want this resolved now.
We join you in asking the Lord to provide what is needed quickly. We pray that God would move on the hearts of those in your HOA to act with diligence and care, and that He would provide a reliable and excellent contractor to handle the cabinet work and a trustworthy and skilled plumber to restore the water. We ask for wisdom for all involved, for work done well and with integrity, and for the repairs to be completed without further delay.
We also pray for you in this time of waiting. Scripture reminds us that patience is often learned over much time and through affliction, and that it is part of loving and trusting God to endure without being overcome. As it is written, whatsoever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. Even when answers seem slow, God uses the Scriptures to nerve and comfort us, so that patience produces hope and hope sustains patience.
The man who lay by the pool for thirty eight years knew long waiting, yet he did not give way to bitterness, and the Lord saw him and came to him. In the same way, the Lord sees your need and your endurance. May He solace your wearied soul, keep you from discouragement, and help you to wait with confidence in His goodness while He works.
