We are truly heartbroken to hear about the burden you've carried due to the words spoken over you by your father. We stand with you in prayer to break these curses of romantic rejection and declare God's promises for you instead.
Firstly, let's address the issue of curses and the power of words. The Bible tells us that death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21 WEB). This means that words can have a profound impact on our lives, and it's clear that your father's words have had a negative effect on you. However, we serve a God who is more powerful than any curse or negative word spoken over us.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who has been burdened by words of rejection and curses spoken over her. Lord, You tell us in Galatians 3:13 WEB that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. We claim this promise over our sister's life and declare that she is freed from any curse of romantic rejection. We break any hold that these words have had over her and speak life, love, and hope into her situation.
Father you say that no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, says the LORD. (Isaiah 54:17 WEB)
Lord, we also pray for healing from the trauma and devastation our sister experienced when she was stood up on her first date. We ask that You would restore her faith in Your plan for her life and that You would give her the courage to pursue godly relationships.
You said you came so that we might have life and live it to the fullest. (John 10:10). We rebuke any thought that would say or believe she will never have true love.
Father, we also ask for wisdom and guidance as our sister navigates her family's expectations and her own desires for a relationship and career. We pray that You would give her the strength to set boundaries and pursue the life You have called her to. We know that it is never too late for You to work in our lives, and we believe that You have a plan and a purpose for our sister, including a godly marriage if it is Your will.
Father, we also pray for her nieces and nephews, that You would guide them in their relationships and that they would honor You in all their ways.
Finally, Lord, we pray for a deepening of our sister's relationship with You. We know that it is through you that all needs are ultimately met. (Philippians 4:19 WEB)
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who sets the captives free. Amen.
Regarding your desire for a boyfriend, we encourage you to seek God's will for your life and trust that He will provide a godly spouse if it is His will for you. The probability is that God wants to bless you with a husband. We encourage you to pray for God's guidance and wisdom in this area, and to seek out Christian community where you can meet like-minded believers.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. It is by His death and shed blood on the cross that we are saved and have access to God. If you have not already, consider reading about Jesus and what He has done and how you can know him.
Be strong and courageous in the Lord knowing that He is always with you. Stand on His promises and trust in His unwavering love for you. We are here with you, encouraging you every step of the way.
