Absolutely devastated about an appeal ruling This review property management and right now I’m not sure if my body is going to be able to make it through. Everything has been getting touched and unappealing asking for help because at this point there are no trusted people around and mostly its people saying I ain’t know. The Steffens system is just as b as as the city and I’m done trying to be my own advocate it’s a waste of time no just ask the Loes in Jesus name to have pity on me as i can’t really find my way

We hear the heaviness in your heart and we are lifting you up together before the Lord right now in Jesus name. To be devastated by an appeal ruling, to feel worn down in your body, to feel like everything has been touched and made unappealing, and to feel alone with no trusted people around while others simply say they do not know, is an overwhelming burden to carry. We want you to know that God does know, He does see, and He has not left you to find your way alone.

The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. From the end of the earth, I will call to you when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I Psalm 61:2. When you say you cannot find your way, Jesus Himself says I am the way, the truth, and the life John 14:6. He is not only the way forward, He will lead you step by step when you have no strength left to advocate for yourself.

We understand you are exhausted from trying to be your own advocate against property management and systems that feel just as broken as the city. It is right to feel weary when injustice seems to prevail, but we take comfort that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. He is the righteous Judge who sees every review, every ruling, and every dishonest touch. He will never say I do not know, for nothing is hidden from His sight. We cast all our worries on Him, because He cares for us 1 Peter 5:7.

We also hear your concern for your body and that you are not sure it will make it through. The Lord cares for your body as well as your spirit. He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might Isaiah 40:29. Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls Matthew 11:28-29. We encourage you to not carry this alone physically either, please reach out for medical care and for godly counsel from a local church body if you are able, even when it feels like no one around is trustworthy, God can still provide one faithful helper.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we bring our dear one before Your throne of grace. Lord, have pity and have mercy as only You can. You see the devastation over this appeal ruling and the struggle with property management. You see the weariness in this body and the feeling that everything has been defiled and made unappealing. Lord, we ask You to be their Advocate when they have no more strength to advocate for themselves. We ask You to be their defender and their provider. Touch their body with Your sustaining strength and bring healing and rest where there is exhaustion and pain. Quiet their anxious heart with Your peace which surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. Lead them to the rock that is higher when their heart is overwhelmed. Show them the next step when they cannot find the way, and make a way where there seems to be no way. Surround them with Your presence so they know they are not alone, for You have said I will never leave you nor forsake you Deuteronomy 31:6. We ask that You bring forth justice in this property matter according to Your perfect will, and that You restore what has been touched and taken. Let them feel Your pity, Your compassion, and Your unfailing love today. We trust that in all things God works for good with those who love Him Romans 8:28, even in this painful season. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our only hope and our salvation, amen.

We encourage you to keep pouring out your heart to Him honestly each day, even with just a few words, because He hears. Do not give up, for God is still working even when systems fail and people turn away. Keep seeking Him in His Word and in prayer, and allow Him to carry what you cannot carry any longer.

We read your note and hear how heavy and lonely this feels right now. Losing an appeal after you have tried so hard to advocate for yourself is devastating, and hearing "I don't know" over and over when you reach out can make it feel like no one is really with you. Of course you feel done trying to carry this alone.

We are praying for you and we want you to have real support close by, not just words from us. You mentioned worrying about your body making it through. Please consider seeing a doctor or clinic soon to let someone check on you in person, and tell someone nearby how you are feeling physically so you are not alone with that worry.

When everything feels touched and unappealing and the systems feel stacked against you, it can help to pause the advocacy for a day if you can, and let one next small step be getting another person beside you. If there is a local tenant help office, community service agency, or a pastor or church you have any connection with, asking them to sit with you and help sort the paperwork can ease the pressure of doing it all yourself. Even one person who will listen and stay with you matters.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. Have pity and show Your mercy. Bring rest to their body, peace to their mind, and bring trustworthy help around them. Guide their next steps and let them feel You near as they find their way. Amen.

Your cry has come before us in a season of great heaviness, and we have heard the weariness in your words. To be pressed down by an appeal ruling, to feel the weight of property management matters upon you, to feel your very body failing under the strain, and to look around and find no trusted voice to help, is a trial that would make any heart faint. When you say you are done trying to be your own advocate and cannot find your way, we hear not complaint but an honest confession of need, and that confession is the very place where mercy loves to come.

Scripture tells us the Lord is slow to anger and plenteous in mercy. His sword of justice is not rusted in its sheath, yet His hand of mercy presses it back, crying, Sleep, O sword, sleep, for I will have mercy upon sinners. It is His nature to be infinitely good, and therefore He delights to show pity to those who have no strength left in themselves. His mercy is not a cold provision but a tender mercy. He thought upon us when we were yet in sin, and He has provided in Christ not only pardon but all that we need to come to Him. The gospel asks nothing of us but what it also gives to us, for He will give the broken heart that mourns and the faith that looks to Jesus.

You feel forsaken by systems and by people who say they do not know, and that is a bitter well to sit beside. Yet remember that the God of your mercy goes before you. Before you ever felt your need aright, His mercy was already on the road to meet you. Before you could frame this prayer, He was prepared to hear it. Prayer is often the very forerunner and shadow of the mercy that is coming. While you are yet speaking, He hears, and while you are calling, He answers, not because you have earned His attention, but because His mercy is gratis, freely given to those who have no claim but need.

That mercy comes to us through one Messenger only, the great Interpreter between God and man, Jesus Christ. He does not merely tell of mercy in words, but sheds the sense of it abroad in the heart. He came to seek and to save the lost, and when the gates of society are shut and no earthly advocate will stand with you, the gates of mercy are not shut. Christ still walks into the places where others will not go, and lays His hand upon the weary and says, Be made whole. All His mercy to a sinner is freely given, because He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy, and His blood is the blessed loophole through which justice is satisfied and mercy may write pardoned over our warrant.

So we will pray for you as you have asked, that the Lord in Jesus name would have pity upon you and make His tender mercy known to you this very day.

We ask our gracious King, whose scepter mercy gives, to look upon you in your exhaustion and to sustain your body and spirit. Grant, O Lord, that this afflicted one may feel Thy presence going before, softening the hard place, giving a tear where there has been dryness, and giving rest where there has been striving. Let Thy mercy not only pardon through the sacrifice of Thy Son, but also uphold, guide, and provide the help that is needed for these practical burdens. Lead to trustworthy help where human help has failed, and give wisdom for each next step. And above all, draw this heart to find its rest in Christ alone, who is our only salvation, that being born again by Thy Spirit, there may be new loves and new hopes even in the midst of trial.

You are not forgotten because a system has failed you. The Lord who numbers our days knows the way you take, and His compassions fail not but are new every morning. Continue to pour out your heart before Him, for prayer itself will sweeten the mercy when it comes, and will teach you its preciousness. If your body is under great strain, we urge you not to bear it alone but to seek care from those who can help you in body as well as soul, and to let one or two faithful persons know the extremity of your need, even as you continue to look to the Lord who is your surest Advocate.

May the tender mercy of our God, which has preserved you to this hour, keep you this night and in all the days to come, and bring you to see that even this low valley may be the very footsteps of mercy leading you nearer to the Saviour's feet.
