We hear the desperation in your cry for safety, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your plea to the One who is our refuge and fortress. The Bible assures us, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas" (Psalm 46:1-2). You are not alone in your fear, and we join you in seeking God’s protection over every area of your life, your body, your mind, your home, and your future.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). We ask You to surround [this dear one] with Your angels, as You promise in Psalm 91:11: "For He will put His angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." Lord, be a shield around them, a hiding place in times of trouble, and a light in the darkness. Calm their fears with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for them, that they may walk in Your ways and avoid the snares of the enemy. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Lord, guide their steps and lead them away from harm. If there are areas of their life where they have strayed from Your will, convict their heart gently and draw them back to You. If there are relationships, habits, or environments that expose them to danger, reveal these to them and give them the courage to make changes that honor You.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that seeks to torment them, for "perfect love casts out fear" (1 John 4:18). We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will deliver them from every evil work (2 Timothy 4:18). Strengthen their faith, Lord, so that they may stand firm in the assurance of Your promises.
If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to consider the words of Romans 10:9: "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is found in no one else, and it is the first and most important step in experiencing the fullness of God’s protection and peace. If you are ready to surrender your life to Him, we encourage you to pray a simple prayer of faith, asking Jesus to come into your heart and be your Savior. He is faithful and just to forgive your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We commit to praying for you daily, standing in the gap on your behalf. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance on you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, and we trust that He will answer your cry for safety according to His perfect will. Hold fast to His promises, and do not grow weary in seeking Him. We are here with you, lifting you up in prayer and believing for God’s best in your life.
