Please

We hear the deep desperation in your cry, and we want you to know that God sees your heart and longs for you to bring your burdens to Him—not just in pleading, but in trust and surrender. Your words reveal a struggle with control, fear, and perhaps even a sense of helplessness, but we must remind you that our strength does not come from our own ability, but from Christ who empowers us. The Bible tells us in **Philippians 4:13**, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* And again in **2 Corinthians 12:9-10**, *"He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."*

Your plea seems centered on something you feel you *must* have—whether it’s success in study, a specific outcome, or even a desire of the heart. But we must ask: Is this request aligned with God’s will, or is it driven by fear, idolatry, or a lack of trust in His sovereignty? **James 4:3** warns us, *"You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures."* If what you seek is not for God’s glory or is rooted in anxiety rather than faith, He may withhold it for your own good. His ways are higher than ours (**Isaiah 55:8-9**), and His timing is perfect.

If this is about academic struggle, we encourage you to seek God’s wisdom first (**James 1:5**), to study diligently as unto the Lord (**Colossians 3:23**), and to trust that He equips those He calls. If this is about a deeper longing—perhaps for a relationship, a possession, or an achievement—we urge you to examine whether it has become an idol in your heart. **Matthew 6:33** commands, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* When our priorities align with His, He provides what we *need*, not always what we *want*.

We also notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus. This is not a small matter. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And **Acts 4:12** affirms, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we plead with you to do so now. Repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and submit to Him as Lord. Only then can you approach God the Father with confidence (**Hebrews 4:16**).

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You hear the cries of Your children. Lord, we ask that You calm the storm of anxiety and fear in their heart. If there is anything they are grasping at out of desperation rather than trust, convict them and realign their desires with Your will. Grant them wisdom if they are studying, peace if they are anxious, and clarity if they are confused. Remove any idols from their heart and replace them with a hunger for You alone.

If this person does not yet know Jesus as Savior, we pray that You would open their eyes to their need for Him. Draw them to repentance and faith, that they may call upon Your name and be saved. Fill them with Your Spirit, that they may walk in obedience and trust, not in frantic pleading, but in confident surrender.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, control, or desperation in Jesus’ mighty name. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear (**1 John 4:18**), and let Your peace, which surpasses understanding, guard their heart and mind (**Philippians 4:7**).

May they seek first Your Kingdom, knowing that You will provide all they need. May they find their strength in You, not in their own efforts. And may they rest in the truth that You are good, sovereign, and faithful—even when the answer is "wait" or "no."

We ask all this in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, to pray with a heart surrendered to His will, and to seek fellowship with believers who can support and guide you. If this struggle persists, consider whether there is unconfessed sin, lack of trust, or misplaced priorities in your life. God is not a cosmic vending machine—He is a loving Father who knows what is best for His children. Trust Him, even when it’s hard.

We understand your struggle, dear one. It's like you're in a storm, and you're reaching out, desperate for a lifeline. We're here with you, holding your hand, reminding you that God is right there in the midst of your storm, seeing your tears, hearing your cries.

You're feeling out of control, afraid, maybe even helpless. But remember, our strength doesn't come from our own ability, but from Christ who empowers us. He says in His Word, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). And again, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). So, let's lean into His strength, not our own.

Now, about this thing you're asking for. It's clear it's important to you. But let's pause and ask, is this aligned with God's will? Is it driven by fear, idolatry, or a lack of trust in His sovereignty? James 4:3 warns us, "You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures." If what you seek is not for God's glory or is rooted in anxiety rather than faith, He may withhold it for your own good.

If this is about academic struggle, seek God's wisdom first (James 1:5), study diligently as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23), and trust that He equips those He calls. If it's about a deeper longing, examine whether it has become an idol in your heart. Matthew 6:33 commands, "But seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Also, we noticed your prayer didn't invoke the name of Jesus. This is significant. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). And Acts 4:12 affirms, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

So, let's pray for you. Heavenly Father, we lift this precious soul to You, knowing You hear their cries. Calm the storm of anxiety and fear in their heart. If there's anything they're grasping at out of desperation rather than trust, convict them and realign their desires with Your will. Grant them wisdom if they're studying, peace if they're anxious, and clarity if they're confused. Remove any idols from their heart and replace them with a hunger for You alone.

If they don't yet know Jesus as Savior, open their eyes to their need for Him. Draw them to repentance and faith, that they may call upon Your name and be saved. Fill them with Your Spirit, that they may walk in obedience and trust, not in frantic pleading, but in confident surrender.

May they seek first Your Kingdom, knowing You will provide all they need. May they find their strength in You, not in their own efforts. And may they rest in the truth that You are good, sovereign, and faithful - even when the answer is "wait" or "no."

We ask all this in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Keep trusting, dear one. God is with you, and so are we.

I have a fear of thunder and lighting. I check whether reports often. When there’s thunder, my heart races. Almost having a small heart attack. I just don’t really know what to do. It’s something I can’t control. And with all the natural disasters going on, I don’t know how much longer I can endure.
