Disciple of Prayer
I’m so numb and lost I want to give up I feel like I have no fight left I’ve endured so Much pain suffering and sorrow and losses death door shut and each time I lift my head up move on from it as if it never happened but from me doing so I’m so numb I pray and I feel nothing I sin daily I allow my flesh to take over I feel like it’s easier to serve the world then Christ because of my surroundings I need a breakthrough I just want all these thought to stop I just want bad things to stop when I start trusting and having faith in God again something bad happens then I go back to the pit I don’t even know what prayer to say

We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. The pain you describe—the numbness, the weariness, the feeling of being trapped in a cycle of suffering—is something many of God’s children have faced. But we must remind you of this truth: **your feelings do not define your faith, and your circumstances do not determine God’s goodness.** Even when you cannot sense His presence, He is near. Even when you stumble, His grace is sufficient. The fact that you are still reaching out, even in this broken state, is evidence that the Holy Spirit is still at work in you.

You mentioned that you sin daily and allow your flesh to take over, and that it feels easier to serve the world than Christ. This is a battle every believer faces, but we must rebuke the lie that surrendering to sin is the easier path. **Sin only brings temporary relief but eternal consequences.** Jesus said in **Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB)**, *“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”* The world’s way is a yoke of slavery, but Christ’s way is freedom—even when the road is hard.

You also shared that every time you begin to trust God again, something bad happens, and you fall back into despair. We must address this: **faith is not the absence of trials, but the assurance that God is with you in them.** Jesus never promised a life free from suffering—He promised *Himself* in the midst of it. **John 16:33 (WEB)** says, *“I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”* The enemy wants you to believe that God has abandoned you, but that is a lie. **Psalm 34:18 (WEB)** declares, *“Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.”* He sees you. He has not forgotten you.

As for prayer, when words fail, the Spirit intercedes. **Romans 8:26 (WEB)** tells us, *“In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered.”* You don’t have to have the “right” words—just a willing heart. Even now, we lift you up in prayer:

---
**Heavenly Father,**
We come before You on behalf of Your child who is broken, weary, and feeling lost in the darkness. Lord, You see the depth of their pain—the numbness that has settled in their soul, the weight of sorrow that feels unbearable, the battles with sin that leave them feeling defeated. But we declare that **You are the God who raises the dead, who calls light out of darkness, who turns mourning into dancing.** Father, breathe life into their spirit again. Break the chains of despair and the lies that say there is no hope.

Lord, they confess their struggle with sin, their weakness in the flesh. We ask for Your conviction—not to condemn, but to draw them back to repentance and restoration. **Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).** Give them the strength to resist the enemy’s whispers that say serving You is too hard. Remind them that **Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).**

Father, they feel as though every time they trust You, suffering follows. But we pray they would see that **trials are not evidence of Your absence—they are the refining fire that proves Your faithfulness.** Help them to cling to You even when they cannot see the way forward. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Break the cycle of doubt and despair, and let them experience the joy of Your presence in a fresh way.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of heaviness and numbness in Jesus’ name. We bind the lies of the enemy that say this pain will never end, that You do not care, that surrender is impossible. **Fill them with the hope that comes from You alone (Romans 15:13).** Let them feel Your nearness today. Restore their passion for You. Give them a breakthrough—a tangible reminder that You are working, even in the waiting.

And Father, we pray for a community of believers to come alongside them, to speak life, to pray with them, to remind them of Your promises when they cannot see them for themselves. **Do not let them walk this road alone.**

We thank You, Lord, that You are the God of redemption, that You specialize in taking what is broken and making it whole. We trust You with this precious soul. **In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.**
---

Beloved, we urge you: **do not give up.** The fact that you are still here, still fighting, still reaching out, is a testament to God’s sustaining grace. **1 Peter 5:8-10 (WEB)** warns us to *“be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings. But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.”*

If you are struggling with sin, **confess it to God and turn away from it (1 John 1:9).** If you feel distant from Him, **draw near, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8).** If you are exhausted, **come to Him and find rest (Matthew 11:28).** And if you are questioning whether He is worth serving, **remember that He gave His very life for you—no one in this world can offer you that kind of love (John 3:16).**

You are not defined by your struggles. You are **redeemed, loved, and chosen** by God. Keep fighting. Keep praying. **He is with you.**

We're praying for you today, dear friend. We know the weight you're carrying feels overwhelming, but remember, God is right there with you. He sees your pain, your weariness, your struggle with sin. He knows the numbness that's settled in your soul, and He's not okay with it. He's fighting for you, even when you can't feel it.

We're reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." He's a God of restoration, of making things new. He's not finished with you yet. There's a breakthrough coming, a moment when the chains of despair will break, and you'll feel His presence in a fresh, powerful way.

In the meantime, let's keep fighting together. Let's keep praying, even when the words are hard to find. Let's keep trusting, even when doubt creeps in. Let's keep serving, even when it feels easier to serve the world than Christ.

We're here for you, lifting you up in prayer. We're believing God for your healing, your restoration, your breakthrough. And we're standing ready to walk this road with you, to speak life into your spirit, to remind you of God's promises when you can't see them for yourself.

Keep going, dear friend. God's got you. He's not letting you go. Trust Him.
