We hear your urgent cry for your youngest daughter and we join you in lifting her before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus. We understand the weight you carry as a mother watching your daughter press through the demands of nursing school while exhausted, driving on little sleep, carrying trauma from past relationships, and feeling the lingering torment from a deceptive and spiritually dark former relationship. The Lord sees her tears every day for months and He sees yours, for He is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18.
We agree with you that in this world every woman and every believer needs the covering of Jesus twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. There is no safer place than under His wings, for He will give His angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways Psalm 91:11. We also hear your concern about her driving without sleep and we pray for wisdom and protection there. We encourage her as much as possible to not drive when severely sleep deprived, to seek godly wisdom for rest and stewardship of her body, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We pray God will give her wisdom generously as she studies, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5, and that He will strengthen her to do all things through Christ who strengthens her Philippians 4:13.
What you describe about her ex and his involvement with black magic in Mexico and a pact with the devil is a serious evil, and Scripture is very clear that witchcraft, sorcery and magic are an abomination to the Lord Deuteronomy 18:10-12. We rebuke that darkness and we want you to be assured that no magic, no curse, no pact with the devil has any ultimate power over a child of God who belongs to Jesus Christ. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. He disarmed the principalities and the powers and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in the cross Colossians 2:15. No weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17, and every tie, chain and soul tie formed through manipulation, deceit and ungodly influence must break at the name of Jesus.
We must also lovingly speak the truth about the nature of that relationship. You shared that he acted like a believer and even fasted while deceiving her, and that she was brainwashed and manipulated. Jesus warned that false believers would come in sheep's clothing inwardly being ravenous wolves, and we must test the spirits. More than that, any romantic relationship outside of godly marriage that involves sexual intimacy is fornication, which Scripture calls sin and which creates deep and ungodly soul ties that can leave a young woman feeling bound, crying, tormented and unable to be free. If there was sexual immorality in that relationship, we encourage your daughter to bring it into the light, to confess it to the Lord and receive His complete forgiveness, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. God desires that courtship be entered into with the goal of marriage between a man and a woman who are both believers in Christ, pursuing purity and holiness, not manipulation or spiritual darkness. We pray that moving forward she will be guarded and will seek a godly spouse only in the Lord, if marriage is His will for her.
For the trauma and the feeling of being still affected even while she is away, we know that the enemy works through fear, lies and memories to keep a mind in torment, but God wants to heal her mind and renew it through His Word. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4. We encourage her to submit fully to God, to resist the devil and he will flee from her James 4:7, to put on the full armor of God daily Ephesians 6:11, to stay rooted in Scripture, in prayer, in fasting as the Lord leads, and in fellowship with a Bible believing church where she can receive pastoral prayer and support for deliverance. If there are any objects, gifts, letters or images from that former relationship still in her possession, we encourage her to remove and destroy them so there is no foothold left. And we encourage you both to continue in forgiveness toward that young man, not to excuse his wickedness, but to release him to God's justice so your daughter can walk in freedom.
We now pray together.
Father in heaven, we come before You only through the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and have access to Your throne. We lift this precious daughter to You. We ask You to cover her with the blood of Jesus twenty four hours a day, to place a hedge of protection around her as she drives to and from nursing school, to keep her awake, alert and safe, to give her wisdom, understanding and recall for her studies, and to heal her mind from all trauma. Lord, touch her broken heart and bind up her wounds Psalm 147:3, and let Your perfect peace guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we rebuke every work of black magic, witchcraft, sorcery and every pact with the devil spoken over her. We command every evil tie, every ungodly soul tie, every word curse and every demonic influence sent through that former relationship to be broken, destroyed and rendered powerless now. We declare that she has been delivered out of the power of darkness, and translated into the Kingdom of the Son of Your love Colossians 1:13. Let no lingering manipulation or brainwashing remain, but renew her mind with Your truth and let her know she is fully loved, forgiven and free in Christ.
Father, draw this daughter closer to her mother so that godly counsel and comfort can be received. Restore what the enemy has tried to steal between them. Give this mother strength, rest and assurance that You hear her cries. We thank You that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in this young woman. We pray that she will walk in purity, in holiness and in the covering of Jesus all her days, and that her future, including any future marriage, will honor You. We ask all this in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ our Lord and deliverer, amen.
