please show Thy face

Servant of All
Dear Lord Father, Please reveal Your face so I may know that You are still with me. I am currently under fear's control and confusion, I am dreadful of everything. I pray in Jesus name Amen.

We hear the cry of your heart, dear one, and we join with you in seeking the face of our Heavenly Father. In times of fear and confusion, it is easy to feel as though God is distant, but Scripture assures us that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). The psalmist David, who knew deep fear and turmoil, cried out, "Hide not your face from me. Turn not your servant away in anger; you have been my help. Cast me not off; forsake me not, O God of my salvation!" (Psalm 27:9 WEB). Like David, you are not alone in this struggle, and your longing to see God’s face is a holy one.

Fear is a tool of the enemy, designed to steal your peace, kill your joy, and destroy your trust in the Lord. But God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). The confusion you feel is not from Him, for He is the Author of peace, not chaos (1 Corinthians 14:33 WEB). We rebuke the spirit of fear in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we declare that it has no place in your life. You are a child of the Most High God, and He has promised to never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). The enemy may whisper lies that God has abandoned you, but we stand on the truth of His Word: "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1 WEB).

To see God’s face is to dwell in His presence, and though we may not see Him with our physical eyes, His Word tells us that those who seek Him will find Him when they search with all their heart (Jeremiah 29:13 WEB). Draw near to Him through prayer, worship, and the reading of Scripture, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8 WEB). Spend time in the Psalms, where the writers pour out their fears and doubts before the Lord, only to end in praise and trust. Meditate on verses like "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You" (Isaiah 26:3 WEB). Let these truths sink deep into your spirit.

We also encourage you to examine your heart for any areas where sin may be creating a barrier between you and God. Unconfessed sin can make us feel distant from Him, but the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness when we confess and repent (1 John 1:9 WEB). Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal anything in your life that is not pleasing to God, and turn away from it. Remember, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1 WEB), so do not let shame or guilt keep you from running to Him.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother/sister who is struggling with fear and confusion. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Your face to them in a tangible way. Let them feel Your presence surrounding them like a warm embrace. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus Christ, and we declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18 WEB). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).

Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of dread that have taken hold of them. Remind them of Your faithfulness in the past and assure them of Your promises for the future. Let them hear Your voice speaking over them, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand" (Isaiah 41:10 WEB). Father, we pray that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who brings power, love, and a sound mind. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the Author and Finisher of their faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB).

We also ask, Lord, that You would reveal any areas of sin in their life that may be hindering their relationship with You. Give them the courage to confess and repent, and remind them of Your unfailing mercy and grace. Cleanse them with the blood of Jesus and restore the joy of their salvation (Psalm 51:12 WEB). Father, we pray that You would surround them with godly believers who can encourage and support them in their walk with You. Let them find strength in Your Word and in the fellowship of Your people.

Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears our prayers and answers them according to Your will. We trust that You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see it (Romans 8:28 WEB). We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37 WEB). May they walk in the victory that is already theirs in Jesus' name. Amen.

We encourage you to take practical steps to combat fear and confusion. Surround yourself with godly believers who can pray with you and speak truth into your life. Limit your exposure to negative influences, whether they be people, media, or environments that fuel your anxiety. Instead, fill your mind with Scripture and worship music that points you to God’s faithfulness. Consider journaling your prayers and the ways you see God moving in your life, so that on the days when fear threatens to overwhelm you, you can look back and remember His goodness.

Remember, dear one, that God is not a distant or uncaring Father. He knows the number of hairs on your head (Luke 12:7 WEB), and He collects every tear you cry (Psalm 56:8 WEB). He is close to you, even when you feel far from Him. Keep seeking His face, and you will find Him. "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you" (James 4:8 WEB). You are deeply loved, and we stand with you in faith, believing that God will reveal Himself to you in powerful ways.

Oh, we’re praying for you right now, and our hearts ache with yours as we feel the weight of your fear and confusion. It’s so real, so heavy, like standing in a storm when the sky feels endless and the wind threatens to pull you under. But let’s fix our eyes on the truth: God isn’t distant; He’s right there with you, even when it feels like the darkness is swallowing your words.

We’re declaring over you that His face isn’t hidden, it’s just waiting to be seen. The enemy loves to whisper lies like, "No one hears you. You’re alone." But that’s a lie from the pit, friend. God’s Word says He’s near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He’s not just watching, He’s holding you. Imagine His hands wrapping around you like a shield, His voice speaking peace into the chaos: "I am with you. I am your light. I am your salvation." (Psalm 27:1)

We’re asking the Holy Spirit to flood your spirit with His presence right now, like a warm light breaking through the fog. Let’s invite Jesus to step into that fear with you. He didn’t come to leave you in the storm; He came to walk through it with you, hand in hand. And when you feel overwhelmed, remember: His strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). You don’t have to carry this alone.

We’re also praying that you’d feel His gentle nudge to examine your heart, no judgment, just love. Maybe there’s something weighing on you that needs to be laid at His feet. But know this: His mercy is deeper than any sin, and His grace is bigger than any shame. He’s not mad at you; He’s mad for you, wanting to set you free.

Right now, we’re declaring victory over every chain of dread. The Lord is your strength, your refuge, your ever-present help (Psalm 46:1). He’s not just going to help you, He’s here with you, right now. So take a deep breath, friend. Let His peace guard your heart, and let His love chase away the fear.

We’re cheering for you, standing with you, and praying that you’d feel His embrace today. You’re not forgotten. You’re not abandoned. You’re His, beloved, chosen, and seen. Keep seeking Him, and He’ll reveal Himself in ways that will leave you breathless. In Jesus’ name, we declare it!
