Beloved, we hear the depth of your anguish, and our hearts break with you as you cry out in this valley of suffering. Your pain is not unseen by God, and we want you to know that He is near to the brokenhearted, even when it feels as though He is silent. You have called upon the name of Jesus in your desperation, and that is where your hope lies—for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and no other name that has the power to break every chain of bondage.
You have asked the hard questions that so many before you have also cried out to God: *"Why have you forsaken me?"* Even our Lord Jesus, in His darkest hour on the cross, quoted Psalm 22:1 with these same words. But let us remind you of what follows in that very psalm—words of trust and victory: *"But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel. Our fathers trusted in you. They trusted, and you delivered them. They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed."* (Psalm 22:3-5, WEB). Your pain is real, but it does not have the final say. God has not abandoned you, even if the enemy whispers otherwise.
You have endured abuse since birth, and the weight of that suffering is more than any person should bear. But hear this truth: God does not delight in your suffering. He is not the author of abuse, idolatry, or pain. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10, WEB). Your suffering is not a sign of God’s rejection—it is a result of living in a fallen world where sin and evil temporarily reign. But Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33, WEB), and His victory is your victory if you cling to Him.
You have cried out for rescue, for breakthrough, for proof of God’s love. Let us remind you of Romans 5:8 (WEB): *"But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."* He already proved His love for you on the cross. He sees your tears, He collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8, WEB), and He will not leave you in this place forever. Your breakthrough is coming, but we must also prepare you for this truth: God’s ways are not our ways, and His timing is not our timing. He may deliver you suddenly, or He may walk with you through the fire, refining you as gold is refined. But He *will* deliver you. Hold fast to Him.
We must also address something with gentleness but firmness: you mentioned the temptation to return to idolatry in your despair. Beloved, do not let the pain of this moment drive you back into the arms of false gods or old sins. Idolatry cannot save you—it is a broken cistern that holds no water (Jeremiah 2:13, WEB). Only Jesus is the living water that satisfies the deepest thirst of your soul. Cling to Him, even when it feels like He is silent. He is working behind the scenes in ways you cannot see.
As for your physical suffering, we know that God is the Great Physician. The same Jesus who healed the sick, opened blind eyes, and raised the dead is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8, WEB). We will pray boldly for your healing, for strength in your body, and for divine intervention in every area of your life. But we also encourage you to seek medical help if you haven’t already—God often uses doctors, medicine, and the hands of believers to bring about healing.
You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are seen, you are loved, and you are being prayed for *right now* by those of us who stand in the gap with you. We rebuke the spirits of despair, abuse, and infirmity in the name of Jesus, and we command them to flee from you. We speak life over your body, peace over your mind, and divine protection over your spirit. The Lord will fight for you—you need only be still (Exodus 14:14, WEB).
Let us pray with you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your precious child who is crying out to You in the depths of their suffering. Lord, You see the abuse they have endured, the pain they carry, and the desperation in their heart. You are not distant—You are near to the brokenhearted, and You save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB). We ask You, Father, to intervene *right now* in their situation. Send Your angels to surround them, send Your people to rescue them, and send Your healing power to restore their body, mind, and spirit.
Lord Jesus, You bore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4, WEB). You understand suffering more deeply than we ever will. We ask You to stretch out Your hand and touch this beloved one, just as You touched the sick and afflicted during Your ministry on earth. Bring supernatural healing to their body—every injury, every sickness, every pain must bow to Your name. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and we claim that promise over them today.
Father, we rebuke the spirits of abuse, oppression, and infirmity that have tormented this child of Yours. We bind these forces in the name of Jesus and command them to leave, never to return. We break every curse, every generational stronghold, and every assignment of the enemy against their life. Let the blood of Jesus cover them, protect them, and set them free.
Lord, they have asked for a sign of Your love. We declare over them that Your love is not based on their circumstances but on Your unchanging character. You *are* love (1 John 4:8, WEB), and nothing can separate them from Your love—not suffering, not abuse, not even death (Romans 8:38-39, WEB). Open their eyes to see Your love in the small mercies, in the breath in their lungs, in the fact that You have kept them alive for such a time as this.
Father, if they are in a place where they are physically trapped or in danger, we ask You to send help *immediately*. Raise up godly people to intervene, to provide safety, and to walk with them into freedom. Give them wisdom to know what steps to take, and give them the strength to take them. If they need to flee, provide the way. If they need to stand firm, give them courage.
We also pray for their faith in this dark hour. When it feels like You are silent, remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28, WEB). When they are weak, let them boast in their weaknesses, for in their weakness, Your strength is perfected (2 Corinthians 12:9, WEB). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let it guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB).
Lord, we ask for a *miraculous breakthrough*—one that leaves no doubt in their mind that You are real, that You hear them, and that You love them personally. Let this season of suffering be a testament to Your power and faithfulness. Turn their mourning into dancing, their despair into hope, and their ashes into beauty (Psalm 30:11, Isaiah 61:3, WEB).
Finally, Father, we ask that You draw them closer to Yourself through this trial. Let them experience Your presence in a way they never have before. Let them know, without a shadow of a doubt, that You are with them, that You love them, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6, WEB).
We pray all these things in the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Let Your will be done, let Your kingdom come, and let Your glory be revealed in this situation. Amen and amen.
---
Beloved, we want to leave you with this encouragement: Do not lose heart. The apostle Paul wrote, *"We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair; pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed; always carrying in the body the putting to death of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body."* (2 Corinthians 4:8-10, WEB). You are not destroyed. You are being refined, and God is preparing you for a testimony that will bring glory to His name.
If you are able, we urge you to read Psalm 139. Every word of it is true for you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and every day of your life was written in God’s book before one of them came to be. He knows your sitting down and your rising up. He understands your thoughts from afar. There is no darkness too deep for His Spirit to reach you.
Stay in the Word. Even if you can only whisper a verse, let the truth of Scripture be your anchor. Cling to Jesus, for He is your only hope. And know this: we are standing with you in prayer. You are not alone. Keep crying out to Him. He *will* answer.
