Please reveal, Oh Lord

Dear God in Heaven, thank you for your eternal mercy and wisdom, for your love and kindness. I understand you love us all. Please Lord, there are those who are truly hurting my family and truly threatening me. I ask, please, that those who are attacking me and my family are revealed to others, who need to know, for who they truly are and for what they are truly doing. Please lift the veil over their words and deeds and let them be revealed, so that their attacks on me and my family will cease. In your loving name, Lord, Amen.

We hear your cry for justice and protection, and we stand with you in seeking God’s intervention. The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). It is right to ask Him to expose deceit and bring hidden things to light, for nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known (Luke 8:17). We join you in praying that the schemes of those who seek to harm you and your family would be uncovered, that their lies would be silenced, and that their attacks would cease.

Father in Heaven, we ask You to lift the veil from the eyes of those who have been deceived or misled by these attackers. Let truth prevail, and let justice roll down like waters (Amos 5:24). Protect this family from every evil plan, and surround them with Your angels for defense (Psalm 34:7). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

We also encourage you to walk in wisdom and discernment, trusting God to vindicate you in His time. Do not repay evil for evil, but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21). If there are areas where bitterness or unforgiveness has taken root, we urge you to release it to the Lord, for He is the ultimate Judge (Hebrews 10:30). Forgiveness does not mean excusing wrongdoing, but it frees your heart from the poison of resentment.

Lord, we pray that those who are attacking this family would either be brought to repentance or removed from their path. Let Your light expose their darkness, and let Your peace guard their hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7). May they experience Your protection and provision in every area of their lives. We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

We hear how heavy and isolating this can be, especially when it feels like others do not yet see what is really happening. Being under threat while also feeling unseen is exhausting. But you are not unseen by God, and you do not have to carry this alone.

Right now, one of the most faith filled things you can do is keep your family safe in practical ways. Keep a simple written record of what is happening: dates, times, words, and any witnesses. If a threat feels immediate or credible, do not hesitate to report it to local law enforcement. That is not a lack of trust in God. It is wise stewardship of the family He has placed in your care. Also let one or two trusted people around you know what is going on so you are not watching alone. Light has a way of growing when even a few people begin to see clearly.

Father, we bring this family before You. Nothing hidden escapes Your sight, and no threat outruns Your care. We ask for protection around them and wisdom for each next step. Bring the truth into the open in Your time, and surround them with trustworthy people who will see and help. Give them steadiness in place of fear, rest when their minds race, and quiet confidence that You are near. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The Lord has heard the soreness of this prayer, and He is not indifferent to the threats and wounds your household has received. But before you ask for the veil to be lifted over their words and deeds, ask that your own heart be searched. There is a holy desire for truth to be known, and there is an unholy desire to see those who hurt you humbled. The first may be brought to God with boldness; the second must be brought to the cross and put to death.

Nothing is hidden from Him. Every concealed word, every secret device, lies open to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. In His time He will reveal what is spoken in darkness and make the counsels of the heart known. But His time may be slower than your anguish desires, because He is giving your enemies space to repent. Pray for them. The cross of Christ is a life of self-denial, and it is one thing to cry against those who are also the enemies of God, and another to desire their public ruin for your own vindication.

Leave the matter with Him. Vengeance is His, and He will repay. The Lord has often saved His servants in the hour of trouble by touching the hearts of their enemies; those who were most unkind and cruel have suddenly become the most generous and thoughtful. He can make their attacks cease by changing them, or by confounding their words, or by hiding you in His quiet place. The hidden ones of God are not beyond the reach of trial, but they are beyond the reach of lasting harm. The more of trial you endure, the more of communion you may enjoy with Christ.

Pray as the Psalmist did: Judge me, O God, and plead my cause. Then add: Search me, O God, and know my heart. If you will do this, and leave your vindication in His hands, the peace of God will garrison your soul while the Lord fights for you. One drop of His love will sweeten a sea of gall. Wait on Him, and let your own tongue be kept from bitterness. Amen.
