We join with you in this heartfelt prayer for safety both now and for eternity, and we bring your request before our Heavenly Father together in the name of Jesus.
Your desire to be kept safe always, even through death, and to go over to the better side reflects a deep longing that God Himself has placed in the human heart, the longing for eternal life and to be with Him forever. The Scriptures assure us that true and lasting safety is found only in Him. Psalm 121:7-8 says, Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore. And Jesus promises in John 10:28, I give eternal life to them. They will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand.
That better side you speak of is to be present with the Lord in heaven, and Jesus tells us clearly how we are assured of going there. He said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We noticed your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and the assurance of eternal safety. Acts 4:12 teaches, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To be kept safe when we die and to enter that better side, we must put our faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says, If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. John 3:16 reminds us, For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For the believer, death is not the end and not something to fear, but a doorway to being with Christ. Psalm 23:4 says, Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. And 2 Corinthians 5:8 tells us we are of good courage, rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord. Nothing can separate those who are in Christ from His love and keeping, as Romans 8:38-39 promises.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus. We ask that You keep them safe in Your hands each day, guarding their body, mind, and soul from evil. We pray that You grant them the full assurance of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, that they would know without doubt that to be absent from the body is to be present with You. Cover them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, take away all fear of death, and let them rest in the promise that You have prepared a place for those who love You. Lead them to trust fully in Jesus as Savior and Lord, to walk with You daily in obedience and faith, and when the time comes to leave this life, welcome them into Your eternal presence on that better side, into everlasting joy with You. We ask this in the precious and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our hope. Amen.

Your prayer is one that every awakened soul must pray, for the fear of death is natural to man as a sinner, and to be all your lifetime subject to bondage through that fear is a sorrow which dishonors God. Yet there is a sure deliverance, and I am glad to point you to it.
We ought to seek for Divine Grace to conquer this fear, and where shall we look to be delivered from it. There is no true deliverance except by looking unto Him whose death is the death of death. Look unto Jesus. Let your eyes be always looking to Him, for it is He who conquers for us the fear of death. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. The way of salvation is to believe on Christ, whom God has laid in Zion for a foundation. What is believing on Him. It is trusting in Him, depending upon Him without fear as to your present and eternal salvation.
You ask God to keep you safe, always, even when you die, and to let you go over to the better side. Know then that safety is not found in a mere wish, but in a Person. Heaven must be in you before you can be in Heaven, and Heaven itself is Christ fully enjoyed. It is the chief blessing of Heaven, the cream of Heaven, that the saints shall there see Jesus. To be kept safe in death is to be kept in Him, to be found without fault before the Throne of God through His blood, the Lamb who feeds His people and leads them to living fountains of waters. To cross the narrow stream of death is only to be nearer to Him who is All in All.
Therefore I would urge you, look and live. As the prophet said, Look unto me, and be ye saved. A look does not require a moment, and sin will be removed the moment thou dost look. Do not let fear keep thee from looking, but fear and look, and try Him, for He will not cast out any that come unto Him.
We will remember you in our prayers and pray thus for you, that the Lord Jesus Christ would reveal Himself to you as your Saviour, that you may be kept by His power through faith, that perfect love may cast out servile fear and give you a holy fear which keeps you close to Him, and that when your last hour shall come, you may find that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, to see His face which is itself Heaven, and to dwell where you shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more, for the Lamb in the midst of the throne shall feed you.
May the Lord grant you grace to trust Him now with an unquestioning confidence, and to know that whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed, but shall be kept safe now, in death, and forever. Amen.

Your prayer for safety now and even beyond death is good and right, and God hears the heart that seeks to be with Him on the better side.
Know what God has already done to make such safety possible. The cross has saved and converted the world, driven away error, brought back truth, made earth like heaven and fashioned men to live like angels. Because of it the evil powers are no longer terrible but contemptible, and death is no longer death but a sleep. This is the great salvation we must not neglect. It is not a rescue from wars or the giving of earthly goods, but the dissolving of death, the destroying of the devil, the opening of the kingdom of heaven and the gift of everlasting life.
That better side for which you pray is not closed. By Christ a new and living way has been opened. The gates of heaven, which were not opened even for the righteous of old, now stand open, and the way that once led only to death now leads to life and abides forever.
Therefore engrave this salvation upon your mind and embrace it. Do not despise the long suffering of God, but treasure up for yourself salvation and not wrath, life and not punishment. The Lord Himself will carry what you entrust to Him into heaven. Come near to Him with boldness through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. Fear Him who is able to save both soul and body, and do not fear those who can harm only the body. He who has learned the hope of the resurrection need no longer be enslaved by the fear of death.
I pray for you that God, who pricks the heart and gives the spirit of compunction, will plant His truth deep within you, keep you safe in His hand in this life, guard you in the hour of death as one who falls asleep in Christ, and bring you through the new and living way into His heavenly kingdom. May you be found in Christ, clothed in goodness, and counted worthy to behold Him with boldness and to dwell with Him forever. Amen.
