We hear your cry for protection, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The Lord is our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Him.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection to surround this dear one like a shield. Guard their heart, mind, body, and spirit from all harm, evil, and deception. Cover them with the precious blood of Jesus, which speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. We rebuke every plan of the enemy meant to steal, kill, or destroy in their life. Let Your angels encamp around them, Lord, to keep them in all their ways.
We pray Psalm 91 over them:
"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes, and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and cobra. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot. 'Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him. I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation.'"
Father, we also ask that You fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let them walk in the confidence of Your love and power. Strengthen their faith, Lord, so they may stand firm in the day of trouble. Remind them that You are their ever-present help, and in You, they have nothing to fear.
If there are areas in their life where they may have unknowingly left doors open to the enemy, through sin, unforgiveness, or compromise, we pray for conviction and repentance. Lead them to walk in holiness and obedience to Your Word, for Your commands are not burdensome, and Your ways are life. If they have not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we pray they would do so today. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Salvation is found in no one else, for Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
We also encourage them to put on the full armor of God daily, as described in Ephesians 6:10-18:
"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints."
We stand in agreement with this dear one, believing that God hears and answers our prayers according to His perfect will. May they experience Your presence, protection, and peace in every area of their life. We trust You, Lord, for You are faithful, and Your mercies endure forever. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
